Hey everyone-
I am new but super excited to be pregnant! My husband and I have been ttc for over two years. I had one induced miscarriage after a blighted ovum in Feb. of last year. It was devastating! We have been trying really hard to conceive with no success. We went last month to see a fertility specialist and was scheduled to go tomorrow to get my first round of medication and have a baseline ultrasound done. I got up this morning after my period was two days late and took a test! It was positive! How crazy is that? I am beyond ecstatic but shocked at the same time. I have three brothers who all have children but have been waiting for so long to have children of my own. I am excited and I have a pretty good story to tell my little babe someday! Is anyone else expecting their first over thirty? Wanna be a buddy?
Re: Any other first time Mom's in 30's?

Hi!
Congratulations! What exciting news! Talk about perfect timing.
I'm new to this board as well, I'm 33 and this is our first pregnancy. I'm 9 weeks and nervous as can be.
YEAH to all of us! I read a poll on another site that said how old is too old to ttc. I won't tell you what it said but I was fuming with the responses! I am proud to be 30 and having my first child! A lot of thought and care went into this! I look forward to hearing from you all as to how things are going for you! Keep in touch
What a neat story you will have for the little one!
I am finally pregnant with my first as well! I'm 32 and 6 weeks pregnant! I was really worried about my age, but all seems well so far!
OMG! Am I the oldest first time mom here?!?!? 35, and expecting our first. I was 30 shortly after my husband and I got married, and we enjoyed being married for a while (plus went on some great trips!) We were on the fence about children for a long time, but am very happy being pregnant so far.
Congrats to all the over 30 & expecting!!!
Lisa
Nope, not the oldest. I'm 36 (will be 37 soon) and expecting my first. That's pretty normal around here where I am (northern NJ/close to NYC) but I've been feeling pretty 'old' on some of these boards. Whatever. I'm a lot smarter now than I was in my 20s, so that's all I have to say about that.

Congrats to everyone! Very exciting!
Congratulations to all of us first time mommies!
I'm 31 and 16 weeks pregnant today!
I know what you mean! I am so nervous too! I just want to see that little baby! I have my first appointment on August 27th! I wish it was sooner but I am trying not to get upset about it.
Hi, 31 here and pregnant with my first (though worried due to low hcg levels). I'll be buddies!!
too old? pfft. I have several friends my age who had kids in their late teens/early 20s and they're now reliving their youth. I'm too old for bar hopping, but not for babies, that's for sure!
Totally agree with being smarter in my 30's than when I was in my 20's!!! And more financially sound!
Hi everyone over 30! I'm 34 now and 11.5 weeks along with my first after having miscarried earlier this year. We had been trying for about 18 month before being blessed this time around. The baby is due the day after my birthday, so I may be 35 when the time finally comes! Agree about being much more mature, financially sound, and in a better potition in my career than I was in my 20s. It's also not that uncommon where I live (Chicago) to be in your 30s when having your first. :-)
We should start our own board!!
I am 33 and expecting my first as well! I was 31 when I got married and my husband and I took some time to just be married before we started to try. I took birth control for almost 10 years and stopped in March.
It wasn't until June that I finally got a positive ovulation test and BAM! That day I got pregnant. It's pretty cool to know the exact day I got pregnant, especially since we were away at a Dave Matthews concert and this baby was conceived in hotel room! And even more cool to know that I was officially making a baby in my belly while at a Dave show. (Dave is like, my absolute fave and that was my 38th show). Sorry if that's TMI, but I just wanted to share. Evidently I'm fertile Myrtle over here. And I'm not trying to put anyone else down with that comment. I know it's very hard for some ladies and I totally respect and feel for you all.
Thanks for sharing your story and can't wait to hear what's to come! Good luck with everything!
I'm 34 and pregnant with our first. We too tried for about 2 years (started seeing a dr after one year) and got pregnant (finally!!!) on our 4th and what would have been final IUI. I am very nervous about getting through this first trimester. It seems like nothing has been easy for us and, yes, I would have much rather had this kid at 32, but I'll take it when I can, so fingers crossed!! I need a crystal ball! lol
Also, we wanted to enjoy a few years after we got married just to ourselves for a while! I see lots of people on these boards who are either just married or about to be. I think anyone who's married (or has been) would agree it's not always easy, so I can't imagine throwing a kid on top of that right away.
Love the too old for bar hopping comment. Me too, except once or twice a year I forget that and it all does downhill lol
TTC Since July 2011 34 years old Unexplained IF
