N's pedi gave us the green light with "big people" food. He hasn't had too much. I feel so terrified to give him anything for fear he will choke. He mostly does purees still. Are any of you feeling this way as well? He's definitely more interested in our food these days and I feel bad.
Re: What are your LO's eating?
Per usual, Same here
Me three. I love just giving her what we are having.
DS only ate purees for about a month or so; after that, I switched to "fork-mashed" consistency. Then he started refusing the spoon (at 6.5 months), so we've been doing BLW-style foods where DS can self-feed. We started off with spears of foods, but now his grasp is much better so I let him eat whatever we're having (that is soft).
Last night I made a farro watermelon salad, and a caprese salad (using cherry tomatoes). DS had cubes of watermelon, and halved cherry tomatoes, as well as cubed mozzarella.
breakfast is always fruits of some sorts - depends on the season and what I buy for the week. Lately it's halved blueberries or cubed cantaloupe, or peach slices, or mango spears.

Last night we had baked chicken and string beans with rice. I pretty much shredded some chicken for her and cut the string beans up real small. She was a very happy camper. We're slowly letting her have what we have. Avocado is great, same with beans and soft fruits and veggies, and steamed veggies. Tonight is tacos, so DD will have some black beans, avocado, and some tomatoes. We may try the beef again, it didn't go too well last time!
Why yes, yes she did. Because she was the "Olga" AE that was on the Nov'12 board. Beware ladies...beware.
