I've been trying to feed DD pur?es for a month with very little success. Oatmeal with BM in the morning, the occasional sweet potato, pears, or squash later in the day. She has no interest in them. She won't open her mouth and I have to practically force the spoon in there. I hate doing that as I want eating to be a positive experience for her. I am still BFing her on demand and I know that she's getting all that she needs right now. I just want her to start getting interested in food. Any suggestions on what foods she could safely feed herself without a spoon? I have given her puffs but she has difficulty getting them in her mouth because they are really small and get lost in her little fist.

Re: BLW food suggestions?
were the sweet potato and squash pur?ed or I cooked in a different way? I have her pureed squash hoping she would feed herself with it by hand. It just made a mess. I know it's all part of exploration but still.

i agree with your points also. I might take a short break on solids if she still doesn't go for whatever I try to give her at dinner.
