You know you *need* school to start when

you lock yourself on the front porch to get away from the kids.

I haven't posted in a very long time but, it has been a god awful day.

and, yes, I did lock myself on my front porch.  It didn't help a bit.  I could still hear them yelling for me to come back in and not run away.

    The computers have just been discovered by the little ones.  They like them for the 30 minutes before dinner when I encourage them.

    Am I back?  I was looking for a bit of support after a very trying day...from other mamas who get it.

    I hope you locked yourself on the porch with food, OU. And a bucket.  My baser needs always drive me back into the home.

    I like the idea of giving oneself a front porch time out. My son has decided to forgo naps he is a mess by late afternoon and my patience is stretched thin. The other day he threatened me with a time out and I thought it was great idea 34 minutes by myself...

    That reminds me, I need to finish pressure washing the front steps.  I wish we had a porch, alas just mossy steps.  Well, half mossy now.

    I locked myself in the basement once.  On accident.  The fire department was called and they had to break me back into the house.  I'm glad I had the key this time.

    Hey OU!!!

    How are the kids??? 

    three more weeks and I can take the I pads away from them.  Perhaps we will all be posting for support groups.
