I think I have a real one.
I don't care that Jenny McCarthy will be on The View and was actually kind of a little excited to hear that she was because I think she is pretty witty.
But, these are the reasons I don't care about her spewing her crap at us...
1. I don't watch the show too often now and next year when I am back at work I never will. SO, don't care.
B. I 100% believe in vaccinating your child, but if someone listens to Dr. McCarthy and doesn't vaccinate don't you think they are the kind of person that would have found this information somewhere else and followed it. Somewhere obviously scientific like teen people, a random mom blog with 18 followers, or from their dumb friend that read a random mom blog with 18 followers?
4. I hated Elizabitchh Hasselback. Didn't agree with her views on anything. No matter how much she preached it didn't affect me. I am hoping it will be the same.
D. Last one I promise. I am assuming with all the media attention she is getting this will be one of the first things addressed on the show. I am sure she will say something very political like, "This is what I believe caused Austism in MY child....This is what I think helped MY child...."
So, everyone CTFD. Isn't that the parenting method we are all following now?
Re: UO
I've got nothing this week.... Yet
I am not cajun, but I wish I was.
Is that because Cajun usually does UO? If so, I am sorry. I know she does FFC, but I was bored.
Meg: I agree wholeheartedly about Dr. McCarthy. Now get ready to hate my face...
I think teething necklaces are FUG-LY. Everytime I see a baby wearing one, I cringe.Tell me they help all you want, but I don't buy it. If I did believe they helped, I would certainly put one on Eleanor if it meant she would be in less pain... But I would be like..."Eleanor, your necklace is fugly."
I think people who have "shared" facebooks with their significant other are ridiculous. RIDICULOUS. If your spouse doesn't want one of their own, they don't want to be on FB. End of story. My experience has been that the people I see with the shared profile are extremely jealous and suspicious...Some have reasons to be, others are just "that" girl.
Eh im busier than a one armed paper hanger these days. Someone take over!!!!!!!!!
God bubba you're so shallow.
When Liam wore one I thought he looked like a hippie and it made skittles grandma mad that he looked like a hippie so i made him wear it even though i don't think it worked.
I bet even Bertie does!
But.. someone posted on FB that they cured their son of Autism by feeding him organic foods in a cast iron skillet..so, apparently there is a cure. All is right in the world. SMH.
In this case, you are forgiven. I would have put 12 on him. And told everyone that K was of Latin origin (ya know, to give both families a heart attack.)
Yes, that is BSC, buttttttttttt if someone "thinks" that their child is cured, and they "think" they are doing better, then let them. It's not my kid. It must be soooo difficult, so if they see signs of their "old" child peering through let them think it was the bologna sandwich with sardines that did it. Who cares?
She started self diagnosing when he was 2. One of this reason she was concerned is because he would walk on his tip toes and flap his arms when he was excited. Im almost 30 and I do that lol. Time to get out the cast iron.......
I found my new target audience..pooping pics! GENIUS
He's a French model.
I hope that isn't a local commercial .
ohh lord.
Love that commercial. Megs we need to get drunk and just watch tv together!
I care because there's herd immunity that we NEED. Every person that does not vaccinate puts the population at a greater risk of a disease outbreak. Obvi I vaccinated Owen but there's a chance they won't work for him when exposed to the real deal. I also care because I don't want future babies to be exposed to diseases before they can be vaxed. The herd immunity threshold for pertussis is 4% (like, if 4% of the population isn't vaxed/immune the disease can spread), a super scary number to me.
Yes definitely over diagnosed on both! My friends kid is "mildly autistic" um no he's just bad as fuuuck! It's her excuse for not having to parent and correct her kid. Same with ADHD all my sisters kids have it. Really ALL your kid have ADHD..no they have little boy syndrome. Take them outside and keep them busy!
Standing ovation for ms.cajun!!!!
hhahah good, it is my favorite commercial.
ugh Bonjour.
BWahahahahahahaha I will convert you all to my southern speak!
I love yoga pants.. or anything pants that are stretchy for that matter. Its easier than wearing spanx and jeans everyday. Its too hot for all those clothes! Lol!
I had no idea this wasn't a common phrase!
Yeah I wouldnt wear them to work. Thats just weird. What boss or company allows that...
Not is MS. We know a couple that moved to FL to get benefits. Their kid isjust terrible and NOT autistic. The mother is lazy and refuses to work. She sends her kids to daycare everyday so she can have alone time. But yes, they are now drawing disability off of him...
It says Cajun on my phone weird. Everyone is jumping on her weekly threads this week. First wow now this lol ;
AGREED.
I HATE it when I realize I'm going to have to run into a store on my way to/from rehearsal wearing my dance pants. So not cool.
(Particularly the time that I ran into Kroger's to buy some basic item like milk and realized that not only was I wearing dance pants, I was wearing the ones that were misprinted and had "Follow This" written on the CROTCH.)
(I hate the fact that I even own dance pants that say "Follow This" on the , much less the mistake crotch pants, but they are troupe pants. I try not to ever wear them.)
Agreed! I have hated them for YEARS.
MY UO is that i think that juicing is a stupid fad.
here in NJ where I work you couldn't get disability for that alone. i work with SS/Medicaid/State services and i don't ever see a kid with "just" ADHD get services.
I wish we had the old, new TB back so I could "love it" this.
Wow I disagree with every word of this. My husband went to war, he killed people and he got hurt badly. I think he deserves every medal he earned and then some. He also doesn't talk about what he did and it eats him up inside everyday. He went to war because some Jihad mofo decided it was ok to blow up the twin towers..yeah they deserve to pay.
And the magazine thing..there is No reason to glorify violence. Some crazy mother fuuucker is sitting out there seeing his picture on the cover of the magazine thinking "omgee let me try this to get my 2 seconds of infamy", crazy fuuuckers everywhere no need to egg them on.
Eats childproof locks for breakfast...
I think belly rings have been trashy since 2004
I feel the need to clarify... I should have bolded the parts of jessie's post I liked.
I am with her on war and killing. Killing is killing is killing, and I don't understand why it's so widely considered ok for us to answer the wrongdoings of others with more wrongdoings.
I don't care who is on the cover of a magazine, but I DO think Boston was a terrible, disgusting tragedy, and four people dead is plenty "enough" or whatever. Again, killing is killing is killing and my heart hurts for Boston.
I believe the Boston bombing was a tragedy that the death toll understates.
However, I don't believe that putting someone's photo on the cover of a magazing (even Rolling Stones) inherently glorifies them. I think interpreting things in context is a skill that American culture should embrace and practice more.
Totally agree. It drives me crazy how she thinks she is better than everyone. I stopped watching that show just because I couldn't stand her.
It totally glorifies him. I mean some peoples goal in life is to make the cover of the rolling stone. Like pp said if it were a picture of him in handcuffs it would be different instead they made him look like a rock star. Prepare for all the copycat crazies to come out and try to be just like him...rinse and repeat.
In a perfect world sure. But somehow I doubt that the psychotic religious zealots out there are going to ascribe to this pattern of thinking you descibe.
Rolling Stone has also had Charles Manson on the cover:
Not saying having Manson or Tsarnaev on the cover is right. I haven't read the article but heard that it is actually well-written and informative. To me, the cover takes away from the fact that something could be learned from the article.

REALLY?! I'm sure Caleb meets criteria. Maybe the extra income will allow me to quit my job and SAH. I could then get kidcare, WIC AND SNAP. thanks for the idea
IM KIDDING!
What just happened in my diaper?!
