Absent - **Update

So I've been fairly absent today, and the past couple days, from TB. It hasn't been without reason! I started feeling some pretty painful contractions about 2 days ago, nothing real time-able, or anything in a pattern, so I assumed that my BH had finally started getting painful. I've been experiencing BH for a while, but they've never been "painful", but more an uncomfortable tightening.
Well, I get out of the shower this morning, and I'm about 50/50 as to whether or not my water broke. There were 2 "gushes" and a puddle, but no additional fluids (at least no more than normal) for the next couple hours. I'm just POSITIVE I did NOT pee myself, as there was no urination sensation with it, nor any kick or pressure, or anything to indicate I pissed myself. Also, it's almost impossible to tell between the two because I had about 5 bottles of water between 230 AM and 7 AM, so I was well hydrated and everything was clear as water. I've had contractions, extremely painful contractions, throughout the rest of the day. But, again, nothing in any sort of pattern.
I'm pretty freaked about the whole thing, but not wanting to cry wolf, or spend the day in the hospital while trying to keep MH at work (he had a big interview today), so I was pretty much waiting it out. Well, it's now almost midnight, and I'm still experiencing painful contractions. I'm going to call my OB in the morning and see if they can fit in an "emergency" appointment to check me out, and make sure I pee'd myself. I'm only 35w2d, so I really need LO to keep cooking!! Any small T's or P's you may want to send my way would be appreciate, though I'm sure I'm just overreacting. 
P.S. - For those that are curious about MH's interview (I posted about it previously): He says it went really well! He goes back in tomorrow to give a copy of his portfolio and give back some design "homework" they wanted from him. I really think he has a good shot at this, and we should know more about it next week! Thanks for all the good vibes there!
**Update**
It's now almost 2 AM, and though my contractions have not gotten any more painful, they have gotten closer together, some as close as a minute apart. I've called the OB and am waiting on a callback to confirm that I should head to L&D. Will update again when I can (TB mobile hates windows phones). Thanks for all the continued good vibes!

I remember when my water broke it wasn't a huge gush. It was much "smaller" than I expected.
I know my dr was very adamant about calling as soon as I thought my water broke. I think if you wait more than 24 hours...nothing good can come from that.
Please call! They have these little paper tests to see if it's AF. Plus, I remember when mine broke it was a strange sweet smell. And it trickled for a good 15 minutes rather than gushed out all at once.

I *could*, the issue comes to if I just pee'd myself I'd be out almost 200 bucks for me to feel silly.
My mom actually suggested that I call and try and go in to the office tomorrow instead, because (to answer another PP's question), no, the contractions don't seem to be getting "closer" exactly.
Ah, pregnancy. The only time in life you hope you pissed yourself.

Haha! Right?! Never in my life have I felt liquid on my leg and said "Oh dear Lord, please let that be pee.."
