Hi everyone. I've been lurking for a while but haven't been active. I used to be active on the knot. I'm now 22 weeks pregnant with a little boy

They couldn't get all the pictures they needed during the anatomy ultrasound so we had to go back for another round 2 weeks later. The baby was still sitting very low and my obgyn office still couldn't get all the pictures so they're sending me to a different office for a Level 2 ultrasound. I was wondering if this has happened to any of you guys? I'm very tempted to do a google search but I always end up scared and thinking the worst. The doctor also thinks she the baby's kidneys slightly larger than what they should be. She didn't seem very concerned and said that in most cases this goes away by the third trimester ultrasound. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance!
Re: Level 2 ultrasound
I don't have any experience with this, but I had my a/s yesterday and the tech told me at the beginning that if the baby wasn't in the right position, they would have me come back in another week to get the rest of the pictures, and that I shouldn't worry about something being wrong.
If you trust your OB and she wasn't concerned, I wouldn't worry too much. If there were something to worry about, your doctor would have told you. Good luck, I'm sure everything is fine!
I had to get a level two ultrasound because of blood test results that were a little to high. They had to check for spina bifida but the ultrasound showed no signs of it, which was an extreme relief! Our boy also has a larger right kidney that they said is normal and if it doesn't go away during pregnancy that it usually will after birth but if it didn't they would do an ultrasound on him. I was told by the specialist that the kidneys are still learning how to function properly and an enlarged kidney can mean that the pee is just going back up into the kidney but that he was still peeing fine it showed in the ultrasound. The largeness comes in stages like mild moderate and severe. His is moderate. The level two ultrasound just showed things at a closer range and more in depth.
Good luck!
