IUGR Update: My babies are going to be here in a week!

My update from my appointment is sort of good news/bad news.  I will be delivering next Tuesday (36w1d), which is only one week earlier than my doctor wanted to deliver in the first place, and least it was not bad enough to deliver today!

Twin A has dropped from the 9th% to the 6th%.  They keep reassuring me she will be fine once she is on the outside and will catch up quickly.  They are giving her another week for her lungs to mature.  If she had been below the 3rd% they would have delivered today.  Her HB and activity level has been excellent so they felt safe continuing the pregnancy for one week.

Twin B went from the 16% to the 24%!  Great news for her.  The fluid pocket in her kidney dropped to a normal level, but it actually did increase in another area which indicates a possible kink in the ureter, which like the other fluid pocket, should go away after birth.  She will still need an U/S after birth to check on it and hopefully will avoid surgery.  So I am still stressed about that but at least it isn't worse.

On a random note, twin pandas were born today in Atlanta and it made me so happy and comforted.  My mom, who died in 2004, was obsessed with pandas (almost to an unhealthy, hoarding level, haha) so something about that just made me feel she was looking after me and the twins:)

One more random note...I had to pick between Monday and Tuesday...between them being Cancer or Leo. Why did this choice stress me out? It feels so unnatural to choose their bday. I chose Tuesday for the extra day of cooking and my SIL bday:)
