I don't know if it varies county to county, but have you been sending letters of Complaint to the FOC each time your X (or whoever it is) has been in contempt? I know my county won't even hear a case if you don't have an established history of contempt.
In Grand Rapids courthouse they have free legal aid. They will not go to court for you or be your lawyer, but they will tell you what papers you need and supply them (sometimes for cost of paper, sometimes free) and they can tell you how things apply to your situation.
I know there are such things as a blank motion document you can fill out. I was given one once. You fill in what the motion is for and what not.
Re: What paperwork in MI to file your own contempt case?
asking for a friend, but no he says he did not know about doing so. He had been using a lawyer up till now, and can no longer afford it.
Thank you for the info. I'll see what I can check for him online. He's in Wayne Co.
