I think it depends on your kid.. if you have milk allergy or a reason to think it might be an isssue you may want to wait longer - I introduced solids at 4 months so at six months I did yogurt.
I would bet some people start with yogurt - some people are goin gto say wait until a year - some people are going to say - introduce basic solids and then yogurt..
I also heard around 8-9 months is a good time to introduce yogurt. And like PP said, yo baby has lots of sugar. With my older two, I would buy plain organic yogurt and mix it with a banana or blueberries and add a little oatmeal cereal to it. When I was in a rush or on the go, I would add a pureed fruit jar to the plain yogurt.
I started DS on yogurt before he hit 6 months. He had no adverse effects. YoBaby isn't anything "special", you can give your DD regular full fat plain yogurt. YoBaby is okay if you stick with the plain ones, the flavored ones have lots more sugar due to the added fruit.

Our pedi gave us the ok at 6 months. LO needed some antibiotics for an ear infection and pedi recommended giving her some yogurt to help her tummy with the antibiotics.
Like PPs have said. It depends on your LO's sensitivity to milk products. I'd wait if you've seen sensitivity to formulas or if there's a milk allergy prevalent in the family.
I started DS on plain yogurt with apple or banana puree mixed in to add flavor. I started him on solids at 4.5 months and added the yogurt as a breakfast option when he turned 6 months. I do plain yogurt with my own fruit mix ins because it has way less sugar than preflavored yogurts, including baby ones.
