My LO is 4 months(as of July2) and he's constantly chewing his hands and fingers and drools a lot as well. I've heard these can be signs of teething but I was thinking 4 month is too young. I purchased a couple of teething rings as well but he hasn't quite learned how to hold something that small and bring it to his mouth for chewing purposes. LOL! It's like he's concentrating hard on hand, eye and mouth coordination right now.
If he is teething what do I do to relieve him in the meantime until he can work that teething ring better? Right now he just gets frustrated and only wants to chew on hands and receiving blankets. :-/
Re: When did or have your LO's begun teething?
Aww...poor guy. :-(
Whoa! That's early. Makes me wonder when I will see a tooth cutting through.
This exactly! We have a dog and I'm always checking stuff for dog hair before he puts it in his mouth. LO just started gnawing on my shoulder as well.
I don't know if this is part of the fussiness from teething but he has become a little more high maintenance when going down for bed. I used to just cradle him and give him a bottle at bedtime and he would easily fall asleep in my arms. Lately he has seemed a little more aggravated at bedtime even though he's just as sleepy. I don't know if it is because at this age he is just more aware of his surroundings and needs to go in a quiet dark room for less stimulation or he's fussy from teething. He used to be able to fall asleep no matter what was going on around him.
