Happy Friday Ladies!
So, I got my period for the first time at 4 months despite EBFing. I do use a pacifier (well, DD does, haha) and she had started going a bit longer between feedings at night, but this was still disappointing after 13 months without my friend.
Anywho, I started on June 6, lasted about a week. And have had nothing since. I thought I had PMS the other week on day 24 because I felt the crazy irrational crazy that is PMS. But still, nada. DD had been nursing more this month and just went through a growth spurt....can that make it not come back again for awhile?
I could test but I would saying being pregnant right now would be as close to impossible as it could get. And I would probably pass out. No, not probably. I would.
Thoughts on postpartum cycles? Is it unusual to get your period back and then not get it again for awhile? How long do cycles take typically to regulate (I know everyone is different).
Thanks for any input!
We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013. We love her to pieces.
We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011. She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.
Re: PP Period Questions (EBF)
I will say that I'm not nursing anymore, so my experience might not mean much here. But I'm still waiting for my second PP period too. This cycle is longer than what my normal cycles were, which I know can be normal.
We use BC, but I still POAS this morning just to make sure nothing was going on. Was very relieved when it said "not pregnant." I'm not ready for another baby yet!
I think it's just taking time for my body to get back to normal here.
Maybe your body is just trying to regulate still? Sorry I'm of little help, but wanted you to know you're not alone.
With my first, mine came back at 5 months PP. That is where I'm at now; and hoping that it stays away for a little longer this time around!
But what about the next one after that? I got mine at 4 months PP on June 6 but have seen nothing since and that is my question....how long are cycles early on in PP timeframe.
