"Hamburger" Sign?!?

This is my first time posting! Yaya!! So Hubby and I went to the doctors this week, I'm 16 weeks, and were told she saw a "hamburger" sign. Meaning girl!?! Well... I'm having a hard time believing it. The whole time my gut has been saying boy. There were no tell tale "three lines" in any of the pics we saw.

I would post a pic but we just moved and don't have a computer set up.
What are your thoughts?

    If it were a boy you would see something definitely there.

    With my DS, there was no mistaking it on the ultrasound. However, with DD, there just wasn't anything there. Except of course, the three lines.

    Ha I've never heard of it being referred to as a hamburger, but that seems an accurate description of what my girls looked like about that far along. I'd tend to believe it! But you never know.

    I'm actually shocked that the tech told you she saw a "hamburger sign." I mean, I know it's slang, but that is not worthy of telling me the sex if my child. That said, until you can post a picture, no one can realistically weigh in on what 'meat' you may or may not be having. It would be an arbitrary guess.

    Thank you! I have the A/S in 2 weeks so I guess we will have it confirmed then. I just didn't see the 3 lines and she only went from one angle so I guess time will tell!

    Perhaps if I just say this: The opposite of hamburger is hot dog in terms if sex revealing parts. Do you see now? I was trying not to be too graphic!! :D

    No, no, she just saw this on her way to work and was hungry during your appointment.  Common confusion at the ob.

    Well I am in no way a professional! Lol. I would listen to your tech. That was just in my own, personal experience.

    At 16 weeks with DS and this one (2 different docs) they weren't sure what it was yet. I didn't find out until 20 weeks with DS and won't with this one either. I would just wait until your A/S.

    x2, though the medical professional really needs to work on her communication skills. 

    This tech needs some serious communication skills training.  Why not just say, "It's a girl!"?  Seriously ...
