I think it's kind of cute... as a nickname. Picture her in her 30's putting that one on a resume. I remember that Cricket was a nickname for a Christine, a character on the Young and the Restless.
I am also familiar with Cricket as a nickname for Christine. My DS and DD's art teacher is "Miss Cricket" but her real name is Christine.

I obsessively love the name Birdie so I was watching to see what she named this one. I really like how she goes by her NN and gave cute NNs to both of her daughters. It's her thing and I totally get it. I don't like Cricket as much as Birdie and I typically love very classic names; however, I love both her girls' names.

But mostly, I dont hold any celebrity to "normal" baby name standards. When you're growing up with the Apples, Sparrows, Honors, Jets, Moxie Crimefighters, who cares if you're named Cricket?
I can't get behind Cricket. Birdie is a graceful flying animal, Apple is a tasty fruit, but Cricket is a fricking BUG. A nasty, noisy, annoying bug. Dumb.
I just want to give you a world as beautiful as you are to me.

This was exactly what I thought too.
We really think Busy Philipp's daughter will have a resume?

Meh, I don't mind it. It's kind of cute.

Agreed! And at least a bird/birdie can be a "cute" thing. I hate crickets!
Is it really!?? Elizabeth Jean is my name, too funny!!
And agreed, call your little girls cute nicknames all you want, but give them a real name to use once they hit 8 years old!
