I can't help it... I'm totally a wimp. I was nervous about the Follistim injections, but they haven't been bad at all (although I still get a wave of anxiety before DH injects me). Last night he took the Ovidrel injection out of the box and I about near passed out. I have no problem giving blood, I've had an IV before, I get a flu shot every year, but that shot freaks me out!! Please tell me it doesn't hurt!

(And it isn't lost on me that I've already had a baby and this little shot is freaking me out!)

I go in tomorrow to see how I'm responding to the follistim. I'm nervous!

8/2013 - IUI #2: 50 units Follistim +  Ovidrel  = BFP! Beta #1 (12 dpiui) 8/21: 45  Beta #2 (16 dpiui) 8/26: 301 Beta #3 (21 dpiui) 8/30: 1,929. 1st Ultrasound 9/4 - One perfect sac. 2nd Ultrasound 9/13 - Heartbeat at 124 bpm! Anniversary

    Hi MJC!

    I've never been on Follitism, so I'm no help there. I remember the Ovidrel, it wasn't too bad. My hubby was too nervous to give it to me so my mom did! haha.
    I really haven't done many medicated/treatment cycles. We did several months of clomid or "clomood" that stuff made me psycho. And we only did 2 IUI's. So I'm not very knowledgeable in those departments. I hated my Dr. he wasn't "warm and fuzzy" and I was pissed that he had triplets. Hmm. Wonder how he got those? lol.

    Good luck with your shots! All this science and advancement you'd think they would make them in a pill form by now.

    When do u have your IUI done?

    I didn't think they were bad at all. Honestly. The injection site was a little sore later in the day after the first one DH ever gave (compared to the nurse giving it before), but it's really no biggie. Promise. Good luck with your IUI. I've been absent but thinking about you- fingers crossed! :)

    It will be okay! I've given myself all of my injections, including ovidrel, and it was fine. The ovidrel had a bit more volume than my gonal f shots, so I just took my time and pushed it in slowly. Good luck at your monitoring appointment!
