My LO is approaching 3 months and is solidly in 3-6 month/6 month clothing. We are looking to get a couple reusable swim diapers for him for occasional splashing around in the pool/at the beach later this month (in the mornings before it's too hot).
anyone use any brands of swim diapers that you liked or didn't like? Also, we have little swim trunks and a matching rashguard for DS... Have you put swim trunks over a reusable swim diaper, or is that too bulky? Would you just let LO swim in the diaper instead?
Thanks!
Re: Best swim diaper?
We have the Monkey Doodles. I much prefer snaps as if they do poop you can take it off easier than pulling and smearing down the legs! As well I feel you get a better fit at tummy and legs with snaps.
There is no need to put anything over the swim diapers (they are adorable on their own) but they are by no means bulky so you can put something over.
I find that I put a larger swim suit on my 4month old daughter as a well fitted one has nothing to grab onto should I need to!
Swim diapers have no bulk since they are just a cover and a liner (to hold in poop) like the disposable ones they do not hold pee. As in, do not put it on baby before going to pool and don't leave him in it long after exiting the pool!!!!
We also use the iplay and live them!
