bathtub

My son is almost 7 months and can sit independently for the most part, but he only sits up for about 3-5 mins, then falls over. Even then he's kinda shakey. 

 

I currently have a infant bathtub, and he's getting way too big for it. his head is almost over the top, and he just looks so uncomfortable and is making bathtime from our favorite night, to just another hassle :( 

Any ideas of a bathtubs that I could get that still has some support to help him sit up, or any ideas in general?

    a few :)

    1) use a laundry basket - that gives them more support and smaller area :)

    OTher then that - we just left her in the big tub with a towel under her and had her lay down - then at the end of the bath we would sit her up and hold her to give her some time -but our baby is very chill in the bath and not interested in splashing (she's weird ;0 )

    Hmm, I'm currently having the same issue so I hope this thread gets more replies.  DS hates laying down in the infant tub now and tries to pull himself up and out of it.  I let him sit up, but I have to sit there and hold him, since he only sit up unassisted for a few minutes before he topples over.

    Around this point I just put DS in the regular bath tub. I kept a hand on him for the first few baths and he got better at sitting up alone. He caught on to sitting in the bath fairly quickly. Now he likes to crawl around the bath tub and has a blast.

    We put DS in the big tub, in the infant tub. It is just the plastic oval, not the infant seat. I just a hand towel down for a little more grip when he is sitting. When he first started sitting up and was unsteady, he would hang onto the side of the infant tub.

    We have the Eurobath by Primo and love it!  I tried to bathe DS in just a bath tub at my MIL's and it was awful.  DS was slipping around and didn't enjoy the freedom. We will be using our bathtub for much longer!

    I love that Bathtub. I think I am going to get that one. My daughter still can't sit up long enough in the bath but she is def growing out of her baby one. I can see she is starting to be uncomfortable in it. I like how it has that thing in the middle so she can't slide down. The only question I have about that is can you not use it when she is a little bigger? I love the feature but I want to make sure she will still have some room when she is a little older in there. Thanks for sharing that link!
