I thought you ladies would appreciate this.

I'm having my first, due in August, and have been getting allllll kinds of unsolicited advice (of course).  I've gotten very good at smiling and nodding! I have one coworker who is particularly guilty of this ("just get an epi, you'll cave anyway," "why would you breastfeed it's so inconvenient and you can't drink," "oh my gosh, don't have the baby in room with you at the hospital, send her to the nursery so you can sleep!" Smile and nod, smile and nod...). The other day my work very sweetly threw a shower for myself and the other pregnant lady in the office (we're a close group, and she's due about three weeks before me) and the topic of showers came up. This coworker told me, "Oh man, if you have another kid, TOTALLY have another shower! All of your stuff wears out and you need all new supplies, so definitely have a shower so people will buy you things!"

*bangs head against wall*
