Re: Happy/Crappy

  • Happy : made it to 35 weeks! After cerclage at 20 weeks and ptl at 24, we never thought we'd make it this far.

Crappy : I'm stuck in my pity party for one attitude about not being able to do my usual summer activities.

  • Happy:  DH put together LO's dresser

Crappy:  He still needs to move it into place before I can put anything away.

  • Happy: Getting closer to remodel being done (althought I feel like I say this every week...).

Crappy: Currently pretty grumpy. Was having what I thought could be signs of labor, that disappeared yesterday. I was getting so excited.  Oh well, still have plenty of time I guess.

  • Happy: I love the 4th of July! We went to a family pool part/cookout and it was great to see everyone one more time before the baby comes. I have a huge family on my dad's side and besides Christmas, weddings, and graduations, it's rare that we are all together.

Crappy: I feel like I've just hit a wall this past week with the pregnancy. I shouldn't complain, things have been going great, but I'm just done now.

"The cleaning, the scrubbing will wait til tomorrow,
For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So, quiet down cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep."

Happy: all the ACs work in my house. We're having a heat wave.

Crappy: had my first BH when I rolled over last night. Scared the crap outta me.

  • Happy: My baby shower is this weekend

Crappy: So is little brother's going away party. He leaves for basic training on Monday Sad

    my promise to you
    is you're never alone.
You are my angel, my darling,
my star...and my love will find you,
    wherever you are."
  • Happy: Washed/folded and put away all of baby boy's clothes.  We were given SO many newborn clothes I'm afraid if he's born a chunker he won't be able to wear most of it.

Also - his bath stuff should arrive today! So excited to get his whale-themed bathroom put together.

Crappy: I'm at work today.  It's insanely slow and there's barely anyone here BUT I don't want to use up any vacation time (saving it all for post-baby).  Ugh... keep me entertained ladies!

  • Happy: I'm headed to a derm appointment by myself and am going to sneak in a few errands!

I may get to see some more today! I have started a lot of projects!!!!

Crappy: it's raining out so it won't be much fun to run around outside

  • Happy: Really excited for maternity pictures this weekend! And just had an appointment, GD is controlled with diet and baby is doing well :)

Crappy: Have to have an ultrasound to make sure he isn't too big or small due to GD. I feel like I am the only one who hates having ultrasounds. I know its nice to see the LO, but I feel like I'll see him in a few weeks so I hate exposing him to the scans...I know its for good reasoning though, but still.

  • Happy: it's my birthday and I'm off today!

Crappy: nothing, it's my birthday lol
  • Happy: It's my birthday! (read: ice cream cake....!)

Crappy: 4th of July was rained out and working just one day b/t the holiday and the weekend has me in a funk!

    Married DH <3 : 7/7/12; 3 fur babies (2 dogs and 1 cat)
DS born 9/3/13; DD born 7/22/15; LO due 5/28/18
FS (age 5) and FD (age 2) to become AS/AD very soon!

  • Happy: Ive had a perfectly normal and uncomplicated pregnancy and LO is right on track and healthy as can be! All considering my first OB told me I would ABSOLUTLY get GD because I started out overweight...how you like those apples, jerk!

Crappy: my poor pup doesn't seem to be getting any better. He is so tired and I just want to stay home with him and cuddle everyday. More bloodwork this weekend will tell us the next step in his treatment but based on his demeanor I'm not expecting great news.

  • Happy: the have AC and keep cool in the house

Crappy: feel as though I cannot enjoy my pool because I don`t feel like babysitting my neighbors kids (who they let run wild). The second they hear us in the backyard they run over in their bathing suits. They are 3 & 6. I`m sorry I am 35 weeks pregnant and I am not a baby sitting service. Plus the kids can`t swim so if something happens I won`t be as quick to react. Plus they always come in our yard and leave the gate open and let my dogs out. Then I have the chase my dogs around the yard or street. So instead of floating in my pool like I dreamed of all summer, I hide in my house"!!!!! The mom`s fb status this morning is: It`s only 9am and the kids are already driving me crazy to go swimming`!!!!!!FFS

. Crappy: I'm so uncomfortable that I was awake at 2am last night taking a hot bath. Between the BH, SPD, and baby being so low, I can't hardly stand it! DS never dropped until labor last pregnancy. This time, I'm like ohhh now I know why everyone complains of being so uncomfy. This is ridiculous.

Hope you can get a better night sleep tonight!

Ouch!!  I would have a talk with the mom - 1) This is not a public pool, they cannot come over whenever they want 2) if you are gracious enough to extend the invite, she must be with them as you are not going to play lifeguard.

Can you just lock them out?

I have told them that nobody is allowed in the pool when we aren`t home, and only allowed when they ask and if one of their parents are present. I can lock them out but they cut some trees down so now they can see if I am sitting on the deck from their window. So I can`t hide from them unless I am in the house. I don`t have a problem with them coming if DH and I are swimming in the evening and their parents are home, and they come to watch....but it hasn`t been the situation. Arghhh

  • Happy: one month to go! I'm due August 5th and its July 5th today!!

Crappy: The garbage men woke me up and I have not had an adequate amount of sleep yet. I have lots of stuff to do today in preparation for my grandmothers funeral tomorrow and I needed a proper sleep to prepare.

  • Happy: that I have 5 days off of work to relax because working until the very end is going to be harder than I thought.

crappy: my 4th of July holiday was ruined by my 40 year old drunken brother calling my fatty, splashing me and threatening to flip my raft while I was tryin to relax in the pool! I am pregnant for eff sakes! Leave me be! I usually have really thick skin but I started crying.

  • Happy: I work from home. It's not raining. The sun is actually out.

Crappy: I don't feel like working and currently doing the bare minimum to be sure my computer doesn't time out. I just want to be at the pool since the sun is actually out, lol

  • Happy: It's my birthday and DH and I are going to the zoo in a bit and then out to dinner later with our couple friends who are in town visiting from FL - the wife of which is also preggo. I always feel better when I'm not the only one who can't drink. :)

Crappy: I still feel behind on so many things. Getting out the last of my shower TY's, washing baby clothes, putting car seat together, finishing touches on nursery...I see all the posters who are due weeks after me who claim to be "done" and feel so inadequate. :(  And I'm a teacher who has been off from work since June 7 - I really have no excuse.

  • Happy, not to much longer yet..

Crappy, house has ants in it and I can't seem to get rid of them.. My IL'S feel the need to invade or privacy once again this weekend. We just spent a weekend of hell with them this past weekend camping and MIL is a crazy psycho and decides its a good idea to fight with two out of three of her children.. And when I mean fight, I mean her turning into a flippin loose cannon and making the trip miserable for everyone. Plus, they have a dog, and a cat with diabetes which would need to come. So in our three bedroom one bathroom house there will be 6 adults, one toddler, two dogs, and two cats... I'm NOT okay with this.. And I've told DH this but he has been complaining about getting his boat done and needs his dads help. Awesome. I'll be staying at my parents this weekend

  • Happy: DF has FINALLY put down the nasty cigarettes! I'm so excited and proud of him! He wanted to quit before LO's arrival!

Crappy:  It's been a rough week for us, especially with DFs work, so he's been a little bit more on edge, plus with the quitting smoking. Let's just say I've had to be very "supportive".

Happy: Got engaged this week!! Our maternity pictures were on Monday and turned out better than I could imagine. On Wednesday, our LO cooperated during our redo 4D ultrasound and we got to see her pretty face. Seeing our little girl just made me that much more excited to meet her. We had a wonderful 4th of July BBQ with the family yesterday and got to see fireworks last night (Last year, I had the flu and couldn't see fireworks).  The noise really got LO moving :)

Crappy: I am at work today for 10 hours. There is nobody here and it is going to be soooo slow. Thank goodness DF has the day off and is going to come have lunch with me.

  • Happy: got a good comment from a stranger. She said everything will be ok being a FTM is not hard. It will come natural to me.

Crappy: I have an older sister with special needs. She has the mentality of a 5 year old and a body of a model. A 16 year old on fb asked to be his gf she was excited and said yes. 3 days later he said to her "I love you man want to have?" My sister replies "want to have what?" He says "know sex, if you love me you will do it". I cried! I can't imagine someone taking advantage of my "baby" sister. To me she isn't my older sister she is my "baby" sister. A young girl who sits to enjoy a Dora the explorer episode.
  • Happy: To finally have DH home and working on the final pieces of the nursery so I can decorate and organize.

Crappy: my stupid swelling (feet) will not go down no matter what I try. Short of putting myself on bedrest for a day, I'm running out of options.

  • Happy: I get to see my sister today who is going through her masters/doctorate program in psychology in Chicago. We are from Kansas so we don't ever get to see her.

Crappy: Since my FI's job moved us to OK, we have to drive two hours to be able to see her. Sitting in the car doesn't sound too awesome right now.

A friend of mine puts out a flag when the pool is open to neighbors. This way the kids can easily see if they are welcome or not. Find an easy way to let the neighbors know when they are welcome, and when they are NOT!

This is really killing me. I asked GOD why my sister why just why.
We are getting advice from the cops they can't do much. But they advice me to block him. And call my phone provider to block his number. I set a meeting with his parents. My mom went but since my dad past away I took his place. My mom cried so I was holding my emotions and dealt with it and informed them that I had gone to the police. They took my sisters number so they can block her calls too. Very understanding parents.

That is absolutely terrible. Does he know her situation? This just seems too cruel, and it breaks my heart.

Yes, he knows her situation. My sister doesn't look "special" but once you talk to her you will notice that she is a kid in a grown up body. If you write to her you can compare her writing to a 1st grader. Her reading is at a prek level words like car, cat, dog, she can read. She has learned a few big words but not write them just to read them.

OH fantastic idea!!!!!  I may have to do this if it continues to get out of hand. Don`t get me wrong it`s not like I don`t ever want them to come, it`s just I didn`t buy a house with a pool to entertain my neighbor`s kids while I am trying to enjoy the last few weeks of quiet time :)
