I made it to 1 Year! I'm very happy about that! It's a bit bittersweet to start the weaning process, but I am ready. The last few months I only hung on knowing he'd be 1 soon.
My DS got breastfed or pumped bottle 4 times a day. I've been able to transition to only do the 1st thing in the morning and bedtime feeding and stopped pumping in between. I'm thinking of stopping the morning feeding this week. I think evening is going to be toughest. Any input or advice?
I had a bunch of milk in the freezer so I have been using that for his daytime bottles. His morning cereal we started to use whole milk and he's been doing ok with it. The Dr suggested mixing his daytime bottles to 1/2 BM and 1/2 WM for a few days before going straight to whole milk. Shoudl we use this same time to transition to sippy cup instead of bottle? Or is this too much change at once? I tried the sippy over the weekend and he only ate 2 of his 6 ozs. About 20 mins later he was just playing with the cup so I switched it ot the bottle and he seeme to almost chug it. Not sure what is best to do.
TIA
