Fireworks are scary

Am I the only one who thinks fireworks are scary and dangerous? I like watching them but I really don't like lighting them, they scare the bajesus out of me. I don't even like sparklers, I always feel lil sparks. I can't believe we let kids play with em. I really hope my daughter feels the same way when she's older, cuz I'll have a heart attack when she's old enough to set em off.

    Same, but I watched them every day for over a year, and still love to watch.

    I like when they are set up, and lit by professional pyrotechnicians.

    Kids or even adults for that matter aren't supposed to set them off unless they're licensed. If your daughter ever wants to do it a firm he'll to the no and a picture of do you want to lose an arm or die should be placed. Just saying.

    They are illegal in NJ even sparklers. But PA they aren't so everyone gets them there. We bought sparklers to show them. I do feel fireworks are dangerous as I've seen them backfire and do damage.

    You ease into it. Once she's older you might feel differently.

    You're not going to lose an arm from a sparkler or a smoke ball or a hen that shoots sparks out it's butt.

    They are illegal here and I'm glad.  I like watching professional ones, but I have no desire to play with them myself.  Maybe a sparkler, but that's the extent of my pyrotechnics.

    I like fireworks. They were illegal in AZ up until about 5 years ago so I was always fascinated by them. I do have a scar on the palm of my hand, though, because one fell over and sent sparks my direction. I was 12 and visiting family who put on a show for us.
