Birth Centers

Hello friends.

I'm looking for folks to talk about birth centers. In my area, our hospital has a huge monopoly on the healthcare field, and hospital birth is your only option.  We are even just outside of the closest midwife so home births usually don't happen.

Recently, some other women, including a woman in midwifery training, have started talking about the feasibility of opening a birth center in our area.  Would you please share your birth center experience? Likewise, if anyone on here is an admin at a birth center or has access to forms, business plans, SOP manuals, and other solid advice I'd be most appreciative.  TIA
