My due date is 1/17/14. We have our next ultrasound on Wednesday...I can't wait. We've had three because we got pregnant by IUI. So far things are looking good. We had a miscarriage in January so we want to wait til 12 weeks to share the news. Anyone else not shared yet??
I just shared with work and extended family at 12 weeks. However, going public on FB will happen after the 20 week ultrasound, if at all.
And congrats on your pregnancy!
We told our parents and siblings early on, waited until around 11 weeks to tell the rest of the family, and still haven't really made it completely public. EDD is January 4th. I also had a miscarriage before this pregnancy so we are still a little hesitant.
We've been telling people as we see them, but at this point, I'd say we still haven't told most people. I am 14w on Tuesday, so I suppose it's time to officially come out, but I am just not that big into making grand announcements, nor do I want to have to personally reach out to everyone I know to tell them our news. I am stalling and H wants to share it with everyone, so I will probably cave this week since I'm showing.
We've told close friends and family (parents/grandparents/siblings). We plan on telling extended family, not-so-close friends, and the rest of the world around 13 weeks.
Me(32) + DH(32) TTC #1 since Dec 2011
RE consult Dec 2012, diagnosed with lean PCOS (didn't see that coming!) medicated cycles 1 - 4 = BFN
We also had a M/C in January so we're waiting until at least 13 weeks. I'm not even sure if we'll ever do a FB announcement.
One of my friends has never had a loss and she is seriously oblivious about my sensitivities about keeping this pregnancy quiet. We were at her DD's bday party yesterday and she basically told me she could tell that I'm pregnant. It's WAY too hard to hide the fact that I'm not drinking around her, especially because she's been trying to figure out if I'm pregnant ever since our loss. She then announced it to her entire party. I DIED. She just doesn't get it. We're really not ready to tell anyone, especially since we found out at our 11 week U/S last time that I had a MM/C. My next U/S is on Wed so I'll feel a lot better after that.
I told immediate family soon after I found out - at 5 weeks. Close friends, other people local to me, and extended family found out around 8-9 weeks. We moved last year and are going back to visit our old town over the holiday and will tell good friends in person then. I didn't want to post on Facebook until I'd had a chance to share with them.
I'm getting the Materni21 bloodwork drawn on Monday (NT scan didn't work out due to an uncooperative baby) so I'll be posting on Facebook after I get those results - I'll be around 15 weeks at that point.
I am past 12 but I am not planning on sharing for as long as I can. We told our immediate families and I told my boss. Other than that I am not planning on sharing till I start clearly showing.
I am 10 weeks and we have not told anyone, not even family. Only the dog knows at this point. We're probably going to tell immediate family after our 12 week appointment and everyone else after we get our Harmony test results assuming it goes well.
I'll be 13 weeks Monday and I've only shared with a few people. My sister lived out of town and didn't announce until 16 weeks and revealed she was having a boy then as well. I think it's fine to wait until you're comfortable sharing.
Welcome and congrats!!! We're waiting until after the 1st tri to tell people as well because of the risk of loss and want to get all the tests back to see if the baby is healthy too. I'm 12.5 weeks now so not too much longer... I'm excited for people to know I'm pregnant not just gained 8 lbs lol! And to be able to shop and talk freely in our town -- today we were walking around downtown and were going to look at baby onesies but saw 3 people we knew and decided we better wait! It's so hard to keep secret when it is the most life changing thing ever - best of luck to you!
We've told our parents, and I told two close friends. Everybody else has to wait until our 12 week ultrasound, which is on Wednesday. We'll probably tell our daughter Wednesday night and the rest of the world after the 4th.
We have told parents, siblings, and close family members. I have told my principal at school because I had to go get betas done when I got my BFP. We are waiting until after our next u/s (July 8) to tell others. We had a loss in March and it was hard to tell people we had lost our bean, so we figured it would be safer to wait until we were closer to 12 weeks.
We told parents and my oldest son right away. We told siblings after our 8 week appt. We have told a few friends. After our nt scan on July 8, we will be more open, but I'm not feeling doing a big announcement.
I'm not sure about announcing on FB. I go back to work on Aug 14. I plan on emailing my boss before then, but the rest of my co-workers will find out when I show up to work. So we will probably announce on fb around finding out gender.
Two friends know and the women I have jury duty with know....they started getting suspicious when they saw me snacking constantly. Otherwise, everyone else will find out after first tri.
It's still so odd for me to tell people. We've told family and a few close friends, but nothing "public" like on FB. Our NT Scan is next week on the 5th, so maybe sometime after that.
Nope haven't shared yet! We have our next appointment this Friday which will be a day shy of 13 weeks, so we will be "out" after that. And by out I guess I just mean not dodging friends who know we've been trying to get pregnant
Welcome! We've told close friends and family parents/grandparents/siblings. We plan on telling extended family, notsoclose friends, and the rest of the world around 13 weeks. nbsp;[/quote
We have told close family and friends so far. I will probably just tell people as I see them. If they are extended family, I will just let the rest of the family spill the beans. I really don't see us making any big announcement.
I am due 1/20 and we did IUI as well. We're on very similar paths
We told our parents at 8.5 weeks and a few close friends between then and now. I plan to "reveal" publicly at 13 weeks. I can definitely understand being more firm about waiting based on your experience.
Re: Intro/anyone else not "out" yet?
And congrats on your pregnancy!
Welcome and congrats!!
Only our parents know. I will not tell extended family/friends/coworkers until after 12wk u/s and blood tests come back.
Welcome!

None of our family members know at all.

Hi there! Congrats on your little one! I'm so sorry for your loss.
We're not "out" yet, mainly because we're waiting until 12 weeks before we go public with the news.
We'll probably share in 2-3 weeks depending on how the NT scan goes.
