I know this is on a spreadsheet somewhere, but Sept 13 has a thread going about their planned baby names that I thought was really interesting. Maybe we could do it here?

I'll get it started. FTM, having a little girl and her name will be Abigail Cicely. Cicely is the name of DH's grandmother.

FTM having a little girl! We are naming her Emma Rose. We have had Emma picked out for years and I honestly can't tell you why we love it so much. Rose is a family name; it's my mom's middle name, my middle name, and the middle name of two of my nieces. I know that it was given to my mom because of another family member, but I can't remember who. My mom loves roses as well, so I joke and say she's getting a rose garden with 3/4 granddaughters given Rose as a middle name.

We are down to 2 names. We will pick when she is born. In the mean time, we are calling her Fluffy (hey it was in a Baby name book). It's driving my husbands family nuts since they thought we were actually naming her Fluffy and they decided to put their 2 cents in on names. Some were about as bad as Fluffy.

Having a boy. We like Porter Allen. Allen is one of my husbands middle names, his grandpas name, and my deceased brothers middle name. My brother passed away 2 years ago unexpectedly and actually had an October birthday! So we think Allen has a lot of family meaning. But we might give him another middle name bc my husband has 2 middle names. I'm just not sold on 2 middle names yet. But if we used two middle names its prob be Porter Allen Jackson.

FTM, currently this little girl is nameless. We have a spreadsheet of 12 names. DH made columns for First Name, Middle Name, Initials and Potential Nicknames.

We are using family names as our inspiration. I think we will try to narrow it down to 3 or 4 names and decide at the birth.

Ftm, little girl, Daphne Joy. Daphne is a name my DH loves and it means laurel tree. My sisters and I all have plant names and my niece's middle name is Rose so I'm keeping the "garden growing" so to speak. Middle name isn't 100% but its the one I keep going back to.
