Me as well as I'm very new, but I don't think any August mommies or any others for that matter are mean. We are just realistic when we respond to questions. We're here for support an all opinions matter!!!

"Support" is the key word here. To expect support means you should offer some as well, and not just "yay I had my baby!" Or "what do you think this means" type post.

This isn't directed at you I just thought I would bring that up.

I just saw all the drama and lets be honest, it was my entertainment for the night! I thoroughly enjoyed my chocolate ice cream while chuckling like an idiot!!

Didn't realize the white night was the new intro over here, apparently I need to pay more attention. Meh, August has so many meanies/sarcastic b!tches, yada yada yada. I think the correct statement would be August has the best sense of humor and most definitely the best gifs ever!!

I usually stay out of the drama, but that was awesome. And the "July 13 made me cry" gif... too funny. But seriously, if you lurk enough to feel like you "know" the people on the board, then you would probably have seen enough to know that you're not gonna get a great response from that type of post.

To clarify, when I originally posted, I got super sarcastic responses which wasn't expected from a group that's meant for "support". Also, I have been contributing in the few days I've been on here on things that I know about. I do apologize as a FTM that I don't know how to answer certain questions, or how to respond to them. Never been there, so I just don't know how to answer.

Also, as far as "white knighting".. I'm terribly sorry that I believe it's easier to be a nice person than to be ugly to someone who is just excited. I think what was done to that woman was just plain rude. I understand the whole contribution thing, but what happened was uncalled for. And another thing: I also said in J13 thread that the way the original poster responded was uncalled for as well and to "take the b down", but I suppose you'll all read what you want to.

My intentions were never to cause all this BS. And it's truthfully sad that it did.

Hmmm...you went to J13 and cried about how "mean Aug 13" was to you. That's enough to make me roll my eyes.

Also, I LOL at posters who use the "but I'm a FTM and I can't contribute" excuse. There are a ton of us, FTM's who have found it nice and easy to contribute.

I read that post in July and although I didn't feel like she deserved that response, I also think its funny that we now have a hilarious gif for drive by birth announcements. I guess what I'm trying to say is at least we can find humor and be sarcastic about stuff in August but I've yet to see anyone on this board get downright mean and nasty. I don't like seeing stuff like that. I think it's good that there is a lot of support here in August and I feel comfortable posting here. That is all

Well that's where we differ. I don't think anyone in J13 was being "mean and nasty". They are correct in being annoyed by drive by's, and the lack of common sense.

I don't understand why someone would want to announce their birth to a bunch of people the have barely spoken to or had any involvement with. It's weird. For those who have been posting and built relationships here it makes complete sense. But just to drop in once to make an announcement and then get all but hurt when you get called out is crazy.

You know what's even easier than being nice?

Ignoring.

And not posting essay like responses. If I don't like something on an Internet forum...I go to another website. Theres an "x" on the top that makes it all go away.

If there is something truly unjust and awful happening IRL, by all means, intervene and help out where you can. But the cries of injustice fall on deaf ears here...just the laws of the interwebs. It's a cruel world.

That being said. I love Prim. She's like the Simon Cowell of TB. Cracks me up.

J13'er here...I really hope you don't get the crazies like we did. There was a week where all we had were drivebys wanting to know what to pack in their hospital bag. It got really old really quick! Glad we could provide some entertainment for you all : take care!

Wanted to add... We have no problem with newbies or people with a low post count... We're just tired of people who come up with excuse after excuse as to why they don't participate in our threads that suddenly want the spotlight on them.
