    Every time my husband has to poop he takes his ipad and camps out in the bathroom for like thirty minutes.  Seriously?  What are you doing in there?  I honestly think sometimes he's just taking a break from DS.  I totally get it, I sometimes sneak upstairs to eat a candy bar so I don't have to share.  But thirty minutes?  If I feel like he's been in there too long I'll go upstairs and turn off the wi-fi so he can't use his iPad.  I know I know, bad wife.  But seriously dude, s*** or get off the pot.

    LOL.  My husband does this too.  Except we don't have a kid he's hiding from.  I think he's just stuck in a YouTube spiral most of the time.

    But seriously, we'll be ready to go somewhere and he's like "I need to poop first." Drives me crazy!

    YES!  My DH does the same thing and always has (it was books before we got the ipad). He gives me the line that it "takes longer for guys."  Whatever.

    Grosses me out to think about too, because it doesn't seem sanitary for the ipad. And it's not like I can douse it with Lysol, so...  eew. I'm not going to think about it.

    Same here!!  If it takes that long to go, you should go about your day and wait until you really have to go.  I'll never understand it!!

    I hide candy from DH so he doesn't eat it all and I know there will always be some when I want it.  He found my hiding spot Tuesday while I was at work and sent me a pic of him devouring my stash of resee's peanut butter cups.  I was p!ssed so I stoped on the way home from work to buy a new bag and hid them in the back of my sock/underwear drawer.  Keeping my fingers crossed he doesn't find them!

    Mine does it also. He watches youtube and plays his stupid games - some hobbit game and a golf game. It really drives me crazy!

    Both hubby and I are on the short side and our bang measures small....no big deal. But, for some reason hubby thinks me drinking coffee during the pregnancy is going to actually stunt the baby's growth. So we have had massive arguments about my coffee consumption. I was sick of fighting, so I said I would just give up the coffee. Well, now I am on bed rest and every day after he leaves for work I have a glorious cup of coffee, sit on the deck, enjoy the chirping birds and LO's rapid kicks as he also enjoys the morning coffee!

    This made me smile! Go on with your bad self!! I would do the same thing. ::mobile smiley::

    My boss has decided that we need more comraudery so he keeps planning happy hours at the last minute which of course all my coworkers with no kids, older kids, or nanny's are able to go.nbsp; I feeling ubber annoyed lately at all the summer drinking going on around me and everyone having such a great time have a glass or three of wine and relaxing.nbsp; I probably could go to the HH but I know my DH is exhausted from a long week so I should go home and tag team our 14 month old.nbsp; But I also don't want to sit around and watch everyone BS and enjoy their cocktails either.nbsp; Two of my coworkers gave me the "sad/confused face" when i said I can't go......like what would you do?!?!nbsp; Oh yea sounds sooo fun sitting around watching everyone drink.nbsp; Its going to be a long frustating summer.nbsp; Gawd Im feeling really crabby today.nbsp;

    I see nothing wrong with going to Happy Hour and not drinking. I don't drink and drive so I never drink at work happy hours. You should be able Togo out and enjoy yourself without drinking even if others are. I understand you feeling obligated to take care of your 14 month old, but not going because you aren't drinking is silly. I have gone out more in the past 8 months than I did before I got pregnant.

  • 1. I'm wearing a shirt I got out of the hamper this morning because I didn't have any other shirts to wear that will cover my belly.

    2. At 9am, I ate a whole bag of mini Rolos (2.5oz) when I only meant to eat maybe 5.

    3. Although I have a perfectly healthy lunch that I brought to work to eat today, I'm thinking of using the coupon that I have for a free Whataburger instead.

    4. It's never crossed my mind to have our carseat professionally installed or to have the FD look at it. My husband is an engineer. I think he can figure it out.

    5. I'm leaving work about 5 weeks before my EDD. I'm not returning to work after baby gets here. I look forward to not having to wake up at 6am to get ready for work. I don't think I'll be stir crazy or just waiting around for the baby to come like some others have stated. We live out in the country and there is always something that needs to be done. Besides that, housework, and getting the headliner replaced on my car, I plan to read, watch TV, shop for things we need to be ready for baby, and sleep/take naps before the baby gets here (since I'm not sleeping much at night). I know things will be different when she's here, and I'm going to fully enjoy some alone time beforehand.

    An actual confession: I will not be getting my car seat "professionally installed." This is our 4th car seat, DS had an infant seat which we did have professionally installed, and we are on our 2nd convertible seat with him. He puked so badly in his first convertible seat and even with the best cleaning I could do, it still never smelled right. I finally chucked it and got a new one.nbsp;I feel like after 3 seats we are pretty good at installing a seat correctly. We have read our car manual and car owners manual thoroughly and know where and how to install them.nbsp;

    I'm a FTM and I'm not getting ours professionally installed. There is one person in town that can check to see if you set it up correctly but she only does it occasionally. I would have to install my seat in the next week for her to check it or waiting until her next appointment that is sometime in October.

    if DH wasn't a mechanic, I wouldn't have even thought of it. but his schooling taught him how bad improperly installed car seats can be. but it has a freaking level on the base... it's not rocket science

    I work with people located in India and this one guy is starting to creep me out.nbsp; I've worked with him on a few projects but generally he has no idea what he is doing and his quality of work is very poor so I don't enjoy interacting with him.nbsp; We use Microsoft Lync as our IM program and it allows you to upload a picture, so I have a headshot of me from a year or two ago.nbsp; Yesterday he said "I really like your picture on IMnbsp; :"nbsp; I just rolled my eyes and didn't answer back.nbsp; Then this morning he told me he sent me a friend request on Facebook.nbsp; He didn't send it to me, so some random girl with my name now has a request from him. So I lied and told him I didn't have a facebook because I don't want him as a friend. Then I found his profile and blocked him so he could never find me.nbsp; Oh well.nbsp;

    I have done that

     I didn't say there was anything wrong with not drinking.  Course there is nothing wrong with it but who wants to do that?!  :)  and I can enjoy myself .  The point is I really want to sit and enjoy a few glasses of wine on a fancy patio but I can't.  Hate to say it but wine drinking was a major part of our lives so it just makes me sad that I can't participate. So why torture myself.  :)  thats all.  :)

    I am wearing the biggest, ugliest, oldest pair of grandma panties that I own today and I'm loving every minute of it. In fact, I think I might go buy a couple more pairs at Target this weekend.

    This was going to be my confession too!!  I'm wearing them because we desperately need to do laundry, but they're super comfy!

    I have to bite on this... I sincerely hope you are jumping on the 'I kid' boat. If not, you missed the post last week where this belongs. It's pretty crappy to call other bumpies out just because you have nothing else to say. Don't open her posts, I doubt it will hurt her feelings, there is really no need to announce to everyone that you are doing just that. I think I have spent more time on TB than I have doing actual work at work today. It's the first time I've spent a lot of time on TB at work in awhile, so I don't really feel bad about it either. I survived my audit this week, I deserve to sit here and do nothing for a little while!

    Guilty here, too.

    I am a FTM and plan to attempt a med free birth but part of me is scared out of my mind about labor and delivery! I am very excited to be having a baby but I wish she could magically transport out of my body instead of me having to push her out.

    Dear, this is not a confession! I bet about 95 percent of us feel the same way, including those of us who have successfully had med free births.

    ETA: I guess it is a confession, but c'mon girl, give us the good stuff!

    LOL, I thought that was a good one! Stick out tongue

    How about this one:  As I get closer
    to my due date, I fully intend on using the "pregnancy card" to get out
    of doing things I don't like doing anyway, ie pretty much all
    outings/events with my husband's extended family.

    I like this one! I think the first post just brought up some fears for me!

    Now it makes more sense to me. H and I aren't really into drinking so not drinking because I am pregnant hasn't changed my lifestyle. I may have a drink or two every 6 months. I do have to admit that the stupid MIL drama and work drama I am dealing with makes me wish I could have a drink.
