  On the 4th (Thursday) we will be heading to Boston with DH's family to see the fireworks and Pops! concert. DH's grandparents are Canadian, they got married on the 4th when they lived in Quebec, so we will also celebrate their anniversary.

  On the 5th we will be heading to the Cape. My family has a house, so we will be staying there from Friday through Monday. DH is taking some days off so it will be a nice getaway. We have a wedding during the weekend which is also on the Cape, so it will be a fun night out. We will be bringing the baby to the wedding and also to the beach for her first time (see post below), I can't wait!

  dx: MFI 0% morph & low count. Occasional Anovulatory cycles.

  DH only has the 4th off so we are staying home. We will go watch fireworks which should be interesting with H considering that's about his bedtime and he gets cranky if he's up too late.

  We will be around but have no concrete plans. I think my SIL is having a party on the 4th and she has a pool so that should be a good time. I have Friday off as well - not even sure if DH does. I'm sure we will have no trouble filling the long weekend with fun activities. I hope the weather co-operates!

  I assume DH will take the 4th off but we have no plans.  In years past we had gone to sis-in-law's place for dinner, then walk out to the river for fireworks.  But SIL will be out of town this year, plus I have no desire to watch the fireworks live w/M, so I bet we'll just be boring people staying home.

  DH and I are making the 7 hr trek from VA to DH's family's home on the Delware shore. We'll stay for a week. I'm really excited, since is the first real time I've had off work for a year or so.

  I'm having wrist surgery on the 5th so the 4th will be low key for us. Maybe BBQ at the ILs.
  But we are going to the river this weekend with a huge group of family friends so I'm super excited about that!!

  When I read your post, I saw "H",  read it as "husband", and thought "yeah, that's about my bedtime too", lol.  Yes, it's sometimes still light out when I go to bed.  Momma needs her beauty sleep

  Our town has a big 4th of July parade, then we usually get together with my parents and sister's family for a barbecue.  Then I have to head into work for the night of the 4th - kind of a pain, but I get paid extra!

  DH has to work on the 5th, and the big kids have camp, so no trips for us.  DD#2's baptism is on the 7th so we are staying around for that too!

  I still haven't decided what I want to do.  I'm working this Sunday so that I'll have Thursday-Sunday off at end of week.  DH may have to work on Friday.  I'm not sure if I want the hassel of packing up 4 kids, 2 dogs, and everything but the kitchen sink just so that I can unpack it all late Sunday night and then get ready for the work week.  Staying home and catching up on True Blood sounds much more appealing the more I think about it.

  When we do go out of town, it's to my parents' house 3.5hrs away in northern WI.  We go fishing, play at the beach (couple of lakes in the area), and always watch fireworks on the 4th (and pretty much every other night that weekend) at a friend's cottage on the lake.

  Bhahaha!  I was super embarrassed when I started reading responses about taking LO to see fireworks....Sophie's too young, right?  I am spared this year right?  She's in bed by 7 and sometimes earlier if she turns into cranky pants.  Or does that earn me "MOTY" if I skip it?

  You get to skip it this year.  Pretty sure they're not going to see enough to keep their attention or keep them happy.  There's no way I'm keeping the boys up later than usual so that they can hear some loud bangs. Plus, the mosquitoes are bad this year and I'm not dealing with that.  If I really want them to see the pretty colors, I'll let them watch some on TV.  That might just get me the MOTY award.

  I'm off on the 4th, but have to go back to work Friday, so no big plans. All I ask for is to have a burger on the 4th, LOL! I could care less about fireworks, especially since our awesome neighbors will be up til the wee hours popping them.

  No plans at the moment. We should be moving back into our renovated house this weekend, so we may do nothing. I do have to work a bit, but nothing crazy.
