I really like Curtis. I think it's cute young and old.

I know a vouple Curtis' so that's a good one, Chester, well if he's spunky I think that's workable I wouldn't side eye it, but Floyd... no. Andy Griffith show all the way lol.
I like Curtis best. I want to like Chester but I used to work as a social worker in Chester, PA. Not a good area at all. I can't separate the name from the City. Floyd is not good, IMO.
I much prefer Lloyd to Floyd, Floyd has more of a country vibe to me.
Curtis is fine, I think this one is more popular than the other two. I know a couple my age.
Normally Chester reminds me of 'the molester.' However, I've been reading some Gore Vidal and they refer to the president as Chet Arthur. I kinda like Chet, a little preppy.

I really like Chester but this is where my mind goes. I think a boy named Chester would get teased. It's too bad because it's a nice name.
None of them are my style, but Curtis is the only one of the three I'd use if I had to choose. When I hear Floyd, I think "geek". And when I hear Chester, well, back in middle school, we had one Chester, and a lot of the kids called him "Chester the molester". I don't remember why/how he got that nickname, but it was awful.
When we were kids, my sister has a ventriloquist's dummy named Chester. I also remember a kid in elementary school named Chester and everyone called him Chester the Molester. By high school, he'd transformed into "Chet".
Floyd makes me think of the boxer or an old dude in the barbershop who knows everything about everything.
Curtis. I think I like this one the best because it can be shortened to Curt.
Re: Too old sounding names?
This.
All of this!

I feel the same.

Chester... He better get used to Chester the Molester nickname
Curtis... Know 2 of them. Old coworker brother in law. They both HATE their names.
Floyd... Just reminds me of Flouride. Which isn't that bad I guess.
Ohhh I really like Chester!
Edit - I wouldn't use it because of the teasing brought up by the PPs.
I love old man type names. But I strongly dislike Curtis.
Chester doesn't jive for me, because it will forever make me want to say Chester the Molester.
I totally dig Floyd though. Big thumbs up on that one.
I just want to give you a world as beautiful as you are to me.
Curtis isn't bad.
Chester is awful IMO.
