So last night I started having some chest pain. It started about 6 and my wonderful husband who probably thought i was exaggerating, because i do a lot of that these days, even offered to give me a nice long back rub to help me relax. But by the time midnight rolled around I was still hurting and very miserable.
After I woke him up for the billionth time with all my tossing and moaning and general lack of respect for his sleep he told me that we were going to the ER.
I actually felt pretty guilty about it. I resisted going for a minute since He has to wake up at 5 o'clock every morning to get to work, but I was having such a hard time breathing that I let him take me in.
They did an EKG, and checked my oxygen levels and everything looked just fine. They even did a quick ultrasound and baby looked perfect, an added bonus for my PGAL brain!
After all was said and done, it looked like I wasn't having a stroke or even a heart attack. It was just chest wall pain. Which has to do with inflammation from being sick. Which I kind of have been lately. Phew!
I was really relieved that nothing was wrong and that the baby was still bouncing around in there with a perfect little heart beat.
My husband said that he knew nothing was wrong, and that this was all part of my elaborate scheme to get a long back rub and to have an ultrasound before my next scheduled appointment in 2 weeks.
Muahahahahaha. That's my evil laugh, BTW. The world may never know!!!
P.S. I would kill for an ibuprofen right now. The doctor said that's what he usually suggests for chest wall pain, but seeing as how I'm pregnant and all....dammit! Tylenol doesn't do shiit, just so everyone is aware. Lol
Re: Maniacal schemes and chest pain...
Well at least you know you are ok...
Sorry DHs... but since we get pregnant they sign up for drama, massages, and anything else we might need! lol
Mine yesterday looked at me, after I had said tons of unnecessary mad things and said "are your hormones driving you crazy today?"
So, it all comes in the pregnancy package deal! lol
Great to know you are ok, and just hang in there...
