SIL had her baby this morning

She was in the hospital for monitoring yesterday because he was having decelerations during the NST. As of last night she thought she was just going to see a specialist in the morning, but the baby was born via emergency c-section at 3am. He is 5lbs 7.5 oz despite being 5 weeks early. He in in the NICU on oxygen only. She texted me a pic. Baby looks really good and is cute.

She has decided once again to give this baby my brother's last name (my maiden) to match the other 4 boys. She had done the same with her #4. But, what is weird to me is that she uses her maiden name now.

Anyway, part of me hopes that by some miracle she got her tubes tied during the surgery. I mean she has 5 kids and the last 2 don't even have dads and all of the kids have no dad now and she's coming up on 40 so I think it's about time she closed up shop. Just sayin....

Oh, I wanted to add a disclaimer on the 40 comment- I have nothing against anyone who has children over 40. I just think for someone who already has 5 kids before 40 with no second parent does not need anymore kids.

    So this baby wasn't your brothers but has his name? That seems just weird to me. But I agree, she should really stop. 5 kids is definitely enough especially without a steady reliable father in the picture

    I think it's weird she does that, does she also mark your brother as the father on the bc?

    From what I understand she does not list him as the father, but I've never personally seen the birth certificate #4 so I can't say with certainty. I do know that since she knows for certain the father of this one (unlike #4) that she is playing on filing for CS since she knows he has steady income since he is military. The guy left her after she found out she was pregnant and she later found out he was married. So who knows, if this guy ends up paying CS, he might decide to be involved but I'm going to guess he won't. I just have a feeling on that one.
