I am very disappointed in the level of maturity on this site lately. It pains me to know that people's feelings are hurt by some of the comments people make. I feel like everyone is entitled to their opinion but jumping on eachother for a differing point of view is just childish.
If you don't have anything nice to say just don't say anything. It's below all of us to behave negatively towards other pregnant ladies when we should be doing our utmost to be uplifting and supportive. That's why I joined this site; not to go back to high school.

Most of the time if someone gets a "nasty" response, they deserved it. You're not going to change anything on here. I do treat people how I want to be treated. If I say or ask something stupid, yes, tell me how stupid I was to say that. People use this board like google, people think they'll get support on their first post when they haven't introed or given support,it's annoying. If you stick around and lurk, you'll understand.

This environment IS supportive. If you actually lurked a little, you would know that. It's funny, people like you who never really post, expect to come on here and get support when you haven't done anything to deserve it. That's not how sh!t works. Sorry.

Oh and in real life, I expect to be told that I am being an idiot if I am being an idiot. I don't ask for things to be sugar coated for me and that goes for here as well.

I personally like to be treated like an adult and not coddled like a 5 year old the way some of you seem to prefer. The world isn't all puppy dogs and rainbows. Trust me.

One of the problems is perception. What some view as an opinion, some view as snark and some view as being mean. I don't condone being mean, but I'll stand up for my opinion and my snark.

Agreed... there is a weekly update for those who are PgAL where the post leader remembers each girls appointments and does check-ups... if that's not an example of support here, then i don't know what is...

Personally, I want people to be honest enough to tell me to pull my head out of my arse when I am behaving like a moron, asking stupid questions, or crying "bully" over some harmless snark. So, by your standards, TB is the perfect place for me.

This is an established community with the same norms/rules/vibes as any other, so don't be fooled by the veil of anonymity known as the internet. You wouldn't start a new job and immediately waltz into the President's off demanding better vending machine options, or higher quality toilet paper, so why would you assume it's acceptable here? It is what it is. Don't like it? No one's making anyone stay against their will. So accept it and participate, or move along to something more your speed. Like my son's collection of Barney dvds, perhaps.

Agreed! I have always received support here. Is it because I am so naturally awesome that others are just compelled to shower me with well-wishes? Well, yeah. But besides that, I also into' d, lurked, and GAVE support first! This is a social norm anywhere, not just isolated to TB.

I have lurked for my whole 5 months and have always posted supportive comments when I felt it appropriate.

I'm consistently disappointed in comments on other people's posts or comments. It's very sad to me that by saying we should be kinder to others garnered such a response.

By posting nasty, "white knight" references and being flat out rude clearly you are treating others how you would like to be treated and how sad is that?!

I very much hope my daughter grows up to understand the value of the golden rule and although the majority of you feel that that is somehow weak or coddling I know she will be a better woman for it.

I work or The Bump. This site was created for support among pregnant woman. I am the ambassador for the November board. 4 other boards have been subjected to scans due to a recent suicide where a 24 year old and her 8 week old baby lost their life.

Further investigations are being done on the following woman who have been bullies and their intentions have been to torment serious posters.

I have posted on here often along with other team members to find the ringleaders. Action will be taken and you may be removed from the site.

The bump ambassador will be posting shortly. We do not take suicides lightly here and when it directly has to do with being bullied, we take action.

My intention was only to voice my disappointment and ask that others consider their words. My heart goes out to her family and thank you again for being involved with making sure something so tragic doesn't happen again.

The women here aren't being rude. They tell it like it is. If someone makes a stupid comment people let you know. I personally would rather be called out on stuff then people always agree with me. The women are here to support you or to tell you that you're being stupid, I don't think that makes them mean. They know a heck of a lot more than I do about pregnancy and are very helpful. If you were dumb accept it and move on.
If you can't handle TB then go somewhere else. There is no pregnancy requirement to join this exact site.

Also? Our mods and the Bump Gods can see everything we post. We've had visits from at least one of the Bump gods in the past week or two - if there was anything out of hand or untoward going on around here, you can bet your rear that she would have put a stop to it (like she did another post).

TOTAL MUD. If not, why would you be investigating this board anyway? It is tame compared to other boards. Calling B.S. is not bullying. I have not seen any name calling or threats on this board at all.
