I snapped at my boss today.
It's CD 3 and I've been trying to schedule all of my testing and IVF appointments around my business trip this week (details in my IVF consult thread) and still get them done in time for the August cycle at my clinic. So we'll just say I was feeling a little stressed today.
I had to rush out of work early to get to the lab and my boss (who knows about our IF) made a joke comparing me to my BSC coworker who told my boss that she might have to miss a one and a half day business trip because she might be ovulating that day (it was her 2nd cycle TTC, she's an over sharer. Side note: she got pregnant that cycle). He had been making that joke all day and I just lost it. I turned to him and said "This is not even close to the same thing and your 'jokes' aren't funny." Then I stormed out of the office before I had a complete breakdown. I am generally not a dramatic person, but I had it going on today.
My boss actually took it really well. He sent an email apologizing for his comments and once I cooled down I called him to accept his apology. He's constantly joking about how i shouldn't have kids so i will be available to work crazy hours (there is one part of my job that nobody else knows how to do, i've been pushing to train someone as a backup, but so far i haven't gotten anywhere). Usually I can just brush off the jokes, but somedays are harder than others. Maybe he will understand now that "jokes" can be hurtful even if they aren't intended to be.

DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA
October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos
November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues. Converted to freeze all due to lining issues. 2 blasts frozen on day 6!
January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues
April 2015: FET #2.1

Cycle #3: Clomid 150mg + Follistim + Ovidrel = No response, Canceled
Cycle #4: Femara 7.5mg + Gonal-f + Ovidrel + IUI = BFP!!!!

Wow! So proud of you for being so brave about things! And yes, your other co worker does not even compare.
Thanks everyone. I don't know if I would call it courage, because honestly it just came out of my mouth before I even had time to think.
Also, I wanted to add that my boss is not a bad guy, he just doesn't realize how hard it is to deal with IF. Joking and teasing is pretty normal in our department, because we are a pretty easy going but tight knit group. So it's not like his jokes were meant to be malicious in anyway.
