I am used to getting in at 9, but considering a new job and i would probably have to be there at 8.
I drop DS off at daycare which takes almost 1/2 hour, then another 30 minutes to get into work. I'm not sure if i can handle getting up and out of the house at 7 every morning.
Am i just lazy? Ha ha
Re: What time do you get to work??
Before DS, my schedule was 8-4:30. Now I'm at work from 7-3:30. It's super early, but I miss a lot of traffic going in earlier. So I'm up by 5, we're all out the door by 6:15. I go straight to work and DH drops off DS at daycare since his commute is only 10 minutes.
ETA: It also works out because DS is naturally up before 6am anyway. So it's not like we have to wake him or anything. Plus I get extra time in the afternoon with him.

This is me also.
DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption
It is sad but when he isn't around in the am, we leave much earlier.
DH does DC drop off which makes a huge difference on my mornings. I pick up and do 95 of DD's evening care which is great for him!

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
This Cluttered Life
At my former school - I was out the door by 6:15, LO was at daycare by 6:30 and I was at school by 7. I had kids at my classroom door by 7:15
You will get used to it. I wouldn't not take a job because of its start time, but that is just me.
A kiss he will never forget- Disney World 2014
Up at 5:45, out the door by 6:45am.
Yes, it sucks but I also lump it in the you gotta do what you gotta do catagory.
Before kids DH and I would commute together. I would either be in the office by 7:30, or I'd skip my shower at home and he'd drop me off at the gym by 6:45, and I'd work out, get ready, and walk 2 blocks to my office by 8:15 or 8:30.
Now, DH leaves the house by 6 and gets to work by 6:30, then he leaves by 4 to be home by 4:45 to relieve the nanny. I leave the house by 8 and get in by 9, don't take a lunch, and leave at 5 to be home at 6. I typically WFH on Wed and Fri.
I miss getting in early. I'd get so much done because most people don't get in here until 9.
What the heck do you do? Those are some long shifts! Do you work five days a week?
I started at 8:30 to 5 but then it drifted to 9 to 5 with me working through lunch each day. My whole department is a 9 to 5 department so it works out.
We're planning on doing the opposite. I will do drop offs and DH will pick up since he can technically leave anytime after 5 (though he normally works til 6) and I work until 6 and have a longer commute.
This. I leave the house at 6:15. I think back to when I thought getting up at 6:30 was early and laugh. I wish.
Monday and Tuesday: 7am (on these days, I get up at 6am, shower and am out the door at 6:15am. DH does all kid duties.)
Wednesday and Thursday: 9am (on these days, I get up at 6am and exercise, then DH and I do do kids together.)
Friday 4pm (I work a night so I can spend the day at home).
