I should've waited...

A week after our u/s to determine sex I'm beginning to doubt our results. I know it's probably wishful thinking, I do suppose we will confirm at the end of next month for our AS.

I'm confused...wishful thinking?  Are you experiencing "gender disappointment"?  (Using the term loosely...it should be "sex disappointment", but that sounds like something else entirely)

    1st: sex disappointment LOL.

2nd: yes per the us we are having a 3rd girl.

3rd: tech gave no indication of how sure she was and yes 3d but not what I would consider great shots but this is the earliest we have ever done a us, 15wk even.

15 weeks is still pretty early for them to tell, so it's possible they were wrong.  I'm not going to touch the disappointment issue, except to say that if it is another girl, I hope you will be happy.  It's all about a healthy baby in the end, right?

Also, are you aware that you are 78 weeks pregnant?  That seems...uncomfortable.

Oh okay, yeah that's still pretty early.  At that stage I would really want to know how sure the tech was before fully believing it.  Well either way obviously there's nothing you can change...sorry you're feeling disappointed, but I'm sure in time you will be able to accept & be excited about your little girl.  ;)

Yes of course either way we will be excited. We've been down the difficulty of TTC and PGAL roads so definitely I feel blessed to have 3 healthy children however it is completely normal to have a preference and I will call out anyone who says differently.

Edit: after a few minutes that last part seemed kinda harsh and vague. There was a post not long ago about a Bumpie who was "mourning" not ever having a girl. I'm glad for a healthy baby just would be fun to have a boy.

It's perfectly fine/normal to hope for one or the other and feel a slight disappointment if you find out you're having the other. Especially if you already have two of the same sex. It's the raging crazies who like you said, 'mourn the very idea of not having what they want a d don't know how they'll live with it' that need to be slapped. They ruin it for all the normal people. Plenty of people have a preference but are still excited for, and will love their baby no matter what.

Not true, not everyone has a preference. I don't. I would be happy with a healthy baby boy or girl, there are so many pros to both.

She didn't say everyone has a preference, she said its normal TO have a preference.

Though it is the proper term, it's hilarious in this case

There's a lot of sex disappointment in my house.

For what it's worth,  I am the youngest of three girls and it has been great. My sister's are my best friends.

I wasn't trying to flame you, I promise!  This is our last baby too.  I am hoping for a boy, and if it is a girl I will probably be disappointed for just a hot second before being ecstatic about her.  I just wasn't sure if you were in the camp of being disappointed for just a second or in the crazy "oh woe, my kid is the wrong sex" camp, so I was trying to be...diplomatic?  Is that the word I want?

Anyway, I am sorry if I came off the wrong way.

No worries. I really wasn't saying it in a inflammatory response kinda way. Yes I will be sad for a second if indeed we have 3rd girl but for a second only then break out the babies r us rewards! I've been saving stuff from my previous two girls!
