Carseat installation help...

Car is in the shop for a few days so I have a loaner.  I usually have DS's Britax Boulevard installed in the center seat of the center row of my Ford Explorer and tethered to the rail of the front passenger seat.  The loaner is a Honda Odyssey, so I have it installed behind the driver's side.  Is that the safest place or him?  Anyone with an Odyssey that has any idea where I can hook the tether to without destroying the loaner?

  • I don't have an Odyssey but the owners manual should still be in the glove box, no?

I don't know why I didn't think of that...but it wasn't any help, lol!  Basically, it said it needs to go in one of the back seats (meaning not the front) and only has info for tethers in front facing seats, not helpful!

Bummer! My car seat doesn't tether rf so I'm not very much help :( But my gut says to tether it where you would if it were your car... it's a mini van, it's basically built for car seats ;)

  • We don't have a Britax Boulevard, but our car seat can be installed with the tethers when rear-facing.  The instructions just indicate to not use the tether on the back of the car seat when rear-facing.  There is a place that the tether hooks to on the back of the car seat when not in use.

I don't really understand what you are saying.  I know where my tethers can be stored, but I'd like to use them if possible, just like I do in my own car currently.  I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good place to anchor them on this particular car.

I'm thinking I should take to google, lol!
