Today is day 1 of full potty training for us. He has been using it before bath for the last year, so he is used to it and doing great today with being naked and knowing when to go sit or say when he needs to go. The problem we are having is with him remembering to push his pee-pee down or to lean forward. Do you have any suggestions on how to teach him this, or what potty works best for boys? We have the frog potty from target. Thanks
Most of the potty seats were too small for my little boy. We started training when he was just over 2 and weighed about 30-31 lbs. He was literally just too big for the miniature potties. His "boy-hood" fell ontop of the pee guard instead of behind it. We ended up buying this potty seat and I've been really happy with it
So i have a little boy, he was 3 in June, and he now attends the
local schools nursery, he is delayed compared to other children, even in
speech.
However when it comes to potty training he simply either doesn't get
it, or isn't ready, he is due to start ffull time school next September,
and i really want to conquer the potty training before then.
I've tried sitting him on toilet with a drink, sitting him on toilet....., i also dowloaded a great potty training app called potty training learning with the animals.....my boy loved it!!!!!!!!!
Re: Potty suggestions for boys
We tried multiple floor type potty chairs for DS and he didn't like them AND peed over the top of every one!
This has been the only thing that worked for him.

Yes, we still have to help him onto the big toilet, but he's getting better at climbing up there on his own with a small foot stool.
