So I just got off the phone with my RE's office and our IVF consult is scheduled for next week (They wanted to schedule it for this week, but I am leaving for a business trip and won't be back until late Thursday evening. No consults on Fridays.). I am starting BC this week and still hoping to make the August cycle at the clinic my RE does IVF with.
My question is for the ladies that went from IUI to IVF, how much "extra" testing did you do? How long did it take to complete this testing?
So far I have had FSH, AMH, TSH, E2, Prolactin, P4, CF screening, Rubella anti body, sperm antibody (I think that is what it was for), and a HSG. DH has had a SA, sperm antibody blood work (again I think this is what it was for), and CF screening since mine came back as a carrier.
I am sure we'll need STD screenings (although now that I think about it, it's kind of strange that they didn't do it before IUI) and maybe a SHG. Did you do a trial transfer if you had already done IUI with your RE? Is there any other testing that you can think of that we are missing? I know I will find out more next week, but I am an obsessive planner so not knowing drives me crazy.
Update: The nurse reviewed my labs and I needed LH levels drawn (which I mentioned that I was missing back at my original consult in January) so I had to haul @ss to the lab to get them done today. While I was there they did my infectious disease panel as well. DH goes to get his infectious disease panel done Wednesday. When I was leaving the lab they called to schedule my hysteroscopy for Thursday, but since I won't be back in town yet it had to be rescheduled for next Tuesday after my consult. I think the only thing we have left to do is a repeat SA for DH at the IVF lab, but they said we could schedule it at our consult. This is getting real and I haven't even had my consult yet.

Thanks for the response.
That doesn't seem too bad. The crazy planner in me is worried that we won't have enough time to finish all of our testing and that we won't make the August cycle, which I know wouldn't be the end of the world but it works out better for my work schedule to cycle in August as opposed to the fall.

Thanks for all of your replies.
I am trying really hard not to be a crazy control freak who has to plan everything out, but it's easier said than done sometimes.

It really stinks having to do all of this, especially for big planners like us. I have learned you just have to take everything one day at a time!
