I guess I must not understand the full rules or guidelines of this site. thought it was to ask questions and also to share in the joys/excitement of pregnancy! Guess I misunderstood...sorry.
Guesses would be fun to read, but no serious purpose I suppose...
Well, since we have no clue who you are, we have no clue what your symptoms have been. So, I will go with pointless and a fiftyfifty shot of having a boy or a girl.

We love to share the excitement, but at 5 months in, if we don't know who you are, what are we to get excited about?
The sex of a stranger's baby? Sounds a little weird.

We do share in the joys/excitement of pregnancy on here...all the time! However this post really doesn't serve that purpose.
Do an intro, lurk a bit, and maybe reveal the sex in your intro and you'll get a much better response.
I have seen a lot of others share gender on here...not like I was the first. I've seen a lot of rudeness and bullying on this site lately. Not cool and definately not a "birth club" I want to be a part of. Sorry for wasting anybody's time with the 2 seconds it took to read my posts. I won't bother making any on the future. :
Oh hello, hai, person i've never seen before, you want me to guess...
Boy or girl?
Well you are in luck it IS a boy or girl!!
I double checked my psychic reading to be sure and no dinosaur for you!
Lucky!
Dang it. My physic powers must be off today because I was totally seeing dinosaur!

Heaven got another angel the night you left this world behind
Heaven got a little better the day it took you away from me
Missing you tonight, see you again sometime
For now I'll close my eyes and dream of heaven tonight
I'll love you forever
I'll like you for always
Now and Forever
My baby you'll be

If you seen all of this said bullying then you must have been lurking before you posted so you would know the standard operating procedure for posting on the boards. Introduce yourself and participate and people would be more excited for you rather than a drive by post.
Honestly, think about it. Why would anyone care what you are having if you've never talked to them? Maybe you should walk up to a random person on the street and say what you just posted and see how they react.

You're right. A lot of us share the gender - once we know. And we ask for T&P when we're hoping the baby is still doing fine. We don't just say "having my u/s day! Boy or girl!" What you said was totally random.

I'd have to agree with this. We love being supportive of one another with whom we feel we have made some sort of bond with. total strangers, not so much.
This board is not just about you, maybe you could act like you care about some other posts and respond first.

Yeah, key difference here being that you didn't actually reveal the gender. You revealed that you have an appointment today. Even if you had said, "Very excited about my A/S today, can't wait to find out if it's a boy or girl. Will update you all later" you probably would have gotten better responses. Telling us that you have an appointment is not really worth posting.
Brianne- next time I guess you have to ask "The Bump Posting Experts" exactly what to write! It's pretty funny how critical people are on here. I also didn't know that in order to post you had to become best friends with everyone on here and you had to post in a specific way. Sorry people responded to your excitement so critically. Hope your appointment went well! Did you find out what you are having?

well, you didn't ask a question, so I assume you want to "share in the joys/excitement of pregnancy".
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I can't believe you scheduled an appointment ALL BY YOURSELF! You rock!!! ::high five::

No one said anyone had to be BFFs with the regs. I said she didn't participate or congratulate others, so no one knows who she is. This is a community. I don't know about your community, but in mine we care about each other because we have gotten to know each other. Not because we simply exist in the same locations. No one was rude or a bully.
I agree with pp's that most baby sex posts are about the results of a US or other test and not just the OP wondering out loud. Most go like this: AS went great today! Baby BOY, or GIRL, is healthy and we are very happy... yada yada.
Then everyone gets mushy and congrats the mom or dad to be.
You don't have to be a reg to make your post make sense, dammit. But you don't want to be part of the club so it doesn't really matter, does it?

There you are! We've been waiting for you!
THANK GOD someone is here to save us from our hormonal b!tchy selves!
Totally agree with you! So what if this lady wants to ask this question on here! First time mum maybe like myself we all get so excited!
I posted something a few weeks back and got an arrogant, totally unnecessary comment back from some jumped up women, kinda made me wonder if I should continue with this site! Sad really when you think these people are MOTHERS!
