BLWers, come on in

We've always given LO "real food" from the start and have never given him pur?es.  The thing is, he doesn't like to eat anything that would normally be a pur?e or super mushy consistency.  Apple sauce, no.  Yogurt, no. Mashed potatoes, forget it.  I've tried letting him use his hands, with a spoon with me helping, giving him his own spoon, yogurt in a pouch...he freaks out!  Is my kid odd, or is this just something he'll get over in time?

  • It might be a texture thing. I used to gag on oatmeal. I am just now getting used to to it but some days I stil gag.

  • DS is the same. My solution was to put pur?ed veggies as a sauce on pasta, yogurt on toast fingers, I cut up banana pieces to add to multigrain oat cereal so the banana gets coated in the oatmeal. DS doesn't like apples but I would just give up on the sauce and give him apple pieces or put it on toast fingers.
