Hi,
I delivered 2 kids at Beaumont RO and loved the hospital. I just found out I am expecting # 3, but my OB is kinda old, and is not up-to-date on new technology. He also does not have a partner, so his work is really hard on him. I am looking for a Beaumont group practice (preferrably on the west side...W. Bloomfield, F. H., Commerce twp, Novi, etc) that has multiple docs, in office ultrasounds, and has heard of cord blood banking... (Yes, mine did not know about it w/ my last one and had to 'learn' it...)
Any help/recomendations you could give would be awesome!
Re: Beaumont OB/Gyn recommendations??
My doctors are in Birmingham, Generations OBGYN. I like them. There are 6 doctors in the practice and I liked them all. I've been going to them for about 6 years. They do ultrasounds right in the office and they do know about cord blood banking. Hopefully this helps!
Thank you so much! This does help. I noticed they were noted in Hour Detroit magazine's Top Docs article. I will check them out. Is there any of them that you would recomend over any others? I am assuming that since it is a rotation, you will get whoever is on-call when you deliver, right? (My last ob was a one guy show, so I knew who I was getting...except he was half asleep because of his schedule) :>
Thanks again!
Just curious also.. of the 6, I was thinking of picking Dr. McCLOSKEY as I wanted a female dr.. (I think)... Which one(s) do you like... Any dislikes?
Thanks!
I go to Somerset OB GYN in Troy and love it there.
I used to always want a female until I met Dr Garcia. I LOVE him. He is the best doc I have ever had. He is so personable, knowledgeable and down to earth but when it comes to the delivery he is all business. When my daughter ended up in the NICU he called the NICU and me every day to see how we were. He is just so kind.
Other then him I believe there are 6 docs...Dr Ohm (male), Dr Long (male), Dr Weimermiller (female), Dr Salem (female) and 1 more female doc. There was not one I would not have felt comfortable with...I just was not thrilled with the one doc who's name I can not remember (she is Dr Longs wife).
Good Luck!
I go to Women's First in Royal Oak (they are locatd a block east of Main, but are moving right next to the McDonalds right next to Beaumont on Woodward). I love the drs there. They are 4 women, and a woman PA. They are very caring - I cried through an entire appt because of a medicine I am on and the dr held my hand
anyhow, I obviously haven't had my baby yet, but so far I would definately recommend them!
