Almost ready...

We've had the conversations, we've spent time with newborns, we've spent time with older kids, and we have decided we're ready. I had my annual exam this week, and we've scheduled a preconception care visit for next month (the first opening my doctor had). We think we'll be ready to start in August unless something odd comes up at the preconception care appointment (but it shouldn't, since I was in excellent health at my appointment this week).

 Who else is in this crazy, almost started but definitely ready stage?

    We're getting close too! I was hoping to start TTC in July, but the way my cycle is falling it looks to be August before we'll get to try. It makes me crazy that we have to wait, but I can't justify the time off work if we get pregnant before July 5th.

    Good luck everyone! I too had the mentality of one poster that I didn't want to have a baby a certain time of year. Then it took 11 months to get pregnant.  Just remember that the LO could very likely not be on your schedule: you may be put on bed rest, it may take awhile to get pregnant.  As much as you try to plan, children seem to have a plan of their own.  I too plan to start in August, we'll see what we come up with though.

    We are at the same stage. I will be taking my last birth control pill tomorrow!!!!! Then push the rest button on my cycle. Start pre nates and make a dr appt. it's crazy!!!!

    I went off BC last month then signed up for STD and found out the I have to pay into it for 10 months before I can use it. We want to try for a late spring/ early summer baby so we'll probably wait until late Aug/Sept. DH thinks he could quit his job and be a Mr. Mom...

    GhostMonkey, it's because my doctor said I needed a separate appointment with my spouse present. She wants his health history on file as well (we see different doctors at different practices right now).

    I'm with you as well! I started PNV 2 weeks ago.  I take my last active pill on Saturday.  For now we are NTNP.

    My last pack of pills will be finished next week and we plan on actively TTC in September after my yearly/preconception visit, unless something wonderful happens before that.
