Work Baby Shower - Thank You Gifts

Hi,

My department is throwing me a shower on July 10th. I am also transferring to a new department on the 17th. It's a potluck luncheon baby shower so people will be bringing a lot - a food item and gift. I am so grateful for them doing this especially since I'm leaving the team before the baby comes. I want to do something special for everyone as a thank you. Any suggestions?

in my office nothing says "Thank you" like bringing in bagels one morning. People here get so excited for that

My team loves when people bring in food of any kind. So, bagels, donuts, some kind of dessert...that's my plan if I receive a shower at work.

I agree with everyone else - bring in some pastries, bagels or donuts maybe with some juice or a big tub of coffee from DD or Panera a few days afterwards.

I would do an assortment of bagels, donuts, and fruit. Throwing a healthy item in there always helps.

Agree about bagels, donuts, etc. You don't HAVE to give a gift because you got one, though. When we've had work showers, a thank you card (to each individual) has been sufficient. One of the girls brought in dessert as a thank you, and a lot of the older staff where really annoyed that the person didn't bother to write them a thank you card.
