  It's our choice for a girl but we are spelling it Shae for sentimental reasons. I've known both boys and girls named Shea.

  Behindthename lists it as unisex.  I've always thought it was all girl but recently had a friend name their baby boy Shea.

  I'm having a hard time grasping the fact that anyone uses it as a first name, but I could imagine it as a middle name for a boy or a girl.

  I think girl. Because its my middle name... spelled that way. Gaelic origin, it means "from the fairy fort"

  I wouldn't know...and I wouldn't guess until I had confirmation of boy or girl.
