Solids order of go....

the Pedi said to start with yellow foods, wait three days between each new item. Oh, and he had cereal before too. So he's tried

Oatmeal

Rice

Squash

Carrots

Sweet Potato

Whats next? I'm going to the market tomorrow so I want to get some more fresh foods to puree and try.

Thanks!

Re: Solids order of go....

  • I started with fruits, but after the orange veggies, you can move on to the green ones.
  • Loading the player...
  • that's all the orange/yellow we had

we did fruit after orange, then did green.  at 7 mo we did meats.

  • WOW, I guess my pedi is the different. He told us to start with green veggies (like peas and green beans) because once they taste sweet veggies and fruits its harder for them to like the green stuff.
  • Karukaru, Love the name Logan! I would have considered it for DS, but already used it for my kitty.

My pedi said to never feed fruits, which i think is silly. He said the are too sweet, and the baby will refuse the veggies if he knows he cane have fruit. I'm still going to give him fruit for breakfast though. We are big fruit eaters, and I think its healthy to have a balanced diet.

I guess I'll go to the green stuff, thanks guys!

  • We did sweet potatoes, bananas, green beans, applesauce, squash (failed), sweet peas, and now pears.  Our pedi just said to go for it but maybe avoid peaches at first.  So, we started with a veggie that wasn't too tart, and then alternated a new fruit, then a veggie, each week after that.
