Hi! New around here.. My husband and I are having a little girl :.. The name we chose isn't really unique but I've found that many people look at me kind of confused because they've never heard of it before! I know its not very common but I thought it was more well known! Have y'all heard it before?

    I've heard of Adelaide. I know of 2 that have been born recently. I don't think it's a common name, but I do think its gaining some popularity. I think it's beautiful.

    I like it! I suggested both Adelaide and Adalene, but DH nixed both of them. Love Addie as nn.

    Oh thank y'all! I knew I wasn't crazy!

    Her name will be Adelaide Marianne Mary is my grandmothers name who raised me and Ann is my MIL so it was kind of perfect!

    Everyone already calls her Baby Addie anyways! :

    Love Adelaide.  I think of Adelaide from the musical Guys and Dolls, so for me it's a very classic, but spunky name.
