6 month check up this morning!

I know we were a little behind the curve for our 6 month check up (Mama waited too long to schedule it so we had to wait a week) but we had our appointment this morning and everything is perfect!

He only gained 1 1/2 lbs (to 17 lbs 5oz) but grew 3 inches (to 26 3/4 inches) and his head grew an inch (17 1/2 inches)!

I asked the doc about introducing more solids & he said to feed him as much as he can hold. Also got some great tips on getting Killian to sleep better through the night & not wake up every 3 hours to eat.

We had our 6 mo yesterday. My ped also recommended more solids, as Margo's been waking to eat in the middle of the night more. Lo & behold, I gave her more at dinner and she was only up once! Good luck!

Our's isn't until July 5th even though he is 6 months old today,his Pedi he has seen since birth is on vacation and I really want him to see the same Dr.

I got you beat ours isn't until July 19 th I think. She is a little behind because of our time spent in the nicu when she was born almost two weeks off. So her appointments are always off by two weeks she won't be six months until the 25th.

We had ours this morning too. Thought we were going to get out of this series of shots without a fever, and then daycare called me at 3:30 and Alexandra was up to 102. Poor thing. Got some good cuddles this afternoon though.

Can I ask what the advice was?? Our Pedi didn't give any great advice on that! My DS is up 2 or 3 times a night. I would love advice on how to get him to sleep longer! He was sleeping great until his teeth came in, ever since then it feels like we are up all night!

He said that night feelings will reflect the day feelings so you push the day feedings to 34 hours between offer more food then at night only offer a half feeding with 4 hours between. He also suggested having DH do one of the feedings since I have been doing everything myself for the last 4 months. I guess LO now sees me thinks food automatically at night

I prefer making my own baby food, I just don't trust the ones I find on the market, who knows what they really contain? I'm just being careful with choosing the right solids for my LO, and this is my solids assistant: https://goodmomming.com

We had ours on Tuesday! I'm always 1-2 weeks late on his appointments, lol. But hey, at least I'm consistent!

I was surprised to find out that Jack had only gained 1 lb and grew maybe 1/2 inch. I thought he was getting so big! Little peanut's at the very bottom of all the charts.
