Both Sam and Lily have ezcema. It's on their face and neck area. The pedi has me using Cetaphil and Aquaphor on their skin. Just wondering if any of your LO's have ezcema and how long did it take for it to go away?
They are both on different formulas so I don't think it's the formula but who knows. Sam was on Similac Neosure then got switched to Enfamil Nutramagin at the last pedi appt (hypoallergenic which means uber expensive, grr). Lily is on Enfamil AR.

Re: Any of your LO's have ezcema?
My DS has eczema. He was MSPI and continued to breastfeed him after we found out. I would say that his skin stopped breaking out really bad, about two weeks after I stopped eating diary and soy. To clear up his rashes we would use the aquaphor mixed with hydrocortisone cream. Once his rash went away we would just grease him up really well every night after his bath with aquaphor.
I know that a lot of people don?t bathe babies who have eczema every day, but we do. I can?t say that his eczema has ?gone away? but now that he is older it?s better. We still grease him up every night, and if he gets a rash now it generally goes away on its own. At his follow up appointment for his tubes the EENT doctor told us that he had eczema in his ears. I didn?t even know you could have it there.
After 4 years, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs our surprise miracle is here!

I was diagnosed with eczema at four months, but it was later discovered that I actually had psoriasis. DH has eczema on his hands, but never had issues as a child. My nephew was diagnosed with eczema at one and is currently having a flare that involves his arms and legs. He is 7. My sister hasn't found a solution to my nephew's issues, but she is pursuing food allergy testing. So, our children were doomed!! I think it is really important to keep to single ingredient foods for now, as I want to keep careful notes on his reactions.
So sorry I can't be of more help! It's such a pain. Hope you see improvement soon.
ETA: Aquaphor actually made it worse, which seemed weird. He also had horrendous cradle cap, but that went away around 7 mos.

I hate the greasy feeling of the Aquaphor also. I will need to give the Aveeno ezcema a try I already use the Aveeno sensitive wash.

We also use the Aveeno eczema cream and it works wonders for DD. Everyone is different, so hopefully you'll find something that works best for you.
