I want to buy some things but I keep getting really hesitant.
It'd be really helpful if you lovely ladies could give me a rundown of things you've purchased and if you don't have a siggy counter let me know if how far along you are?
Aside from maternity clothes, I've only purchased a couple of my favorite children's books and the most amazing teddy bear I've ever seen. I couldn't resist.
I find out the sex next week and may start purchasing more then.

hey are we due the same day? 11-16
OMG YES! TWINZ!
I'm really relieved I'm on relatively the same page as you ladies. I've only bought two gender neutral gowns. I wanna start stocking up on cloth diapers but other than that I don't know but I do know I have shopping fever.
My mom found a bassinet at a yard sale..that's pretty much all I have. I get my a/s Monday so I might go a little shop crazy or my mom might...her 1st grandchild
I already have the room completely set up and bedding in place. As well as a few outfits and books. My mom wanted to buy the crib and bedding so she was definitely for buying it early so people can see it at my baby shower. And I had already painted the room gender neutral and redid a dresser for the changing table. I'm 19 weeks 4 days.
I'm 18w6d and thus far I've only bought DD a couple of outfits, a tub, some room decor that was on sale, a diaper bag I couldn't resist, newborn paci's and DH wanted to buy her her first pink camo outfit from Cabelas.
We're within a month of moving to our new house and theres zero room in the apt for a bunch of stuff. I'll go hog wild once we're moved in though!
I bought at a yard sale (but I knew the people selling stuff, so it's not just a stranger): Evenflo hiking carrier, diaper bag, activity table, portable high chair, colors book, foam blocks - total cost $35!
I've also received a Fisher Price rocker and an Evenflo exersaucer as hand-me-downs from friends (people getting rid of stuff that they "no longer need") - DH's manager also told him that she's ready to get rid of her baby stuff, including at least a play mat, but she hasn't made a full list of stuff she's parting with yet.
I also bought DH a Lakers onsie with 13 (birth year) and our last name on it for Father's day....although it still hasn't come in yet
I'm not planning on really buying anything until after my shower - unless I find something super cute, or on super sale

What kind of cloth are you planning on using? And yes, I would start buying those now.... The up front cost can be a bit much but it's worth it.
Also you do not have to buy the big name brands to get a good quality diaper. I know a lot of "cheaper" brands that work just as well if not better than BG's and fuzzi's.

I've been looking at Best Bottoms. (https://www.nickisdiapers.com/best-bottom-diapers-completepackage.html) I definitely want the snap in ones and I think that's all I know right now. I think I may be a bit overwhelmed when I look at all the choices and I watched the CD 101 videos on Youtube and a few other very helpful videos.
Some of this has been purchased some acquired from family but we have our changing table, crib, mattress, nursery chair and foot stool, bassinet, and a few outfits, my mom is ordering our travel system... Nursery was painted last year and I love the color so boy or girl it is staying navy and white for a while. I am currently 17 weeks.
I will be 20 weeks tomorrow. So far I have purchased a few books. However, that will quickly change because this week is payday, and we found we are having a girl:)
On a side note, I went to a baby shower this weekend. The mother to-be received TONS of gifts, however only received a few items off of her registry. As a first time mom she had a great registry. Unfortunately she and her DH will have to shop for several items before baby arrives.
So, I don't see a problem getting a few items early.

Let me know if you have any questions. It does get really overwhelming at first but I love it. It's no where near as "gross" as people think. I can't see myself using disposables at all now. I even CD on vacations.
19 weeks. This is our second baby girl, and we haven't bought anything yet. I ran right out and got a ton of stuff after finding out the gender of the first....just don't seem to have the motivation or the time this time.

Changing a diaper is nothing new to me, I've been changing diapers since I was 8. I also potty train 3 year olds everyday, I had to pick up a clump of poo out of someone's undies today. Pee & poo doesn't gross me out at all.
Which brand CD's do you use and where do you purchase them from? Anything online? I like online shopping.
I'm 17w1d preggo with boy/girl twins and pretty much have all of our big ticket items, cribs, stroller, car seats, bottles and breast pump. After our second child we threw out all baby items as we were certain that we were done with babies, and now were starting from scratch and buying for 2. Every week we make 1 baby buy and only buy things on sale so it won't be such a big blow all at once.
I've bought a lovely picture frame. Under where the picture will be it says love at first sight. I plan to put the first ultrasound there.
I've also bought a cute yellow and gray blanket and a few story books for toddlers.
I don't know the gender yet, but when I find out I'm probably going to buy more things lol

I prefer one size pockets. I use Kawaii's mostly. I have a few sun baby's and alvas. I buy them all on eBay or when they are on sale. My new favorites are butterfly bottoms. They are a bit more expensive but they are made by a stay at home mom and so far work really well! Plus she has a lot of really cute custom options. I'll be purchasing more for her when we find out the sex of this baby.
I've only got one brand new outfit and some things I bought at a yard sale that were gender-neutral. Waiting till we know the gender then will be making diapers, bibs, etc. Will probably not actually buy much till after the shower.

I've picked up a couple white long sleeved side snap shirts. My DD lived in them for 2 months but she was a summer baby and we just had short sleeved ones. I will be looking for a few more of those.
I also got a dozen newborn BGs off ebay because I saw a lot that worked out to about $6 a diaper. Now I need to decide if I want to get some more of those or try prefolds and covers. I hated them on an older baby but everyone seems to love them for the newborn stage.
The only other thing I plan on getting before my due date is a carseat but I won't look into it til about month 7 or 8. I want to get a convertible one and don't want to waste too much of its precious shelf life.
We are team green and I'm almost at 20 weeks. If we were finding out we were having a boy I'd start shopping for boy clothes. I think I have enough girl clothes to outfit triplets though.
I've bought a gender neutral jumper that was on sale for 1.50! This is my second so we have most of the big things but still need a few things [second monitor, newborn car seat, double stroller, new breast pump, ect.] I registered at BRU for the new things I need and when my summer school check comes in September I'm going to request the registry completion coupon early and buy everything at once. I'm trying my hardest to wait for that coupon!
Baby carriers: Ergo, Moby, woven wrap, a couple others
Cloth diapers: A few FuzziBunz, a few Happy Heiny's, a dozen Charlie Bananas, a couple GoGreen pockets, 8 Econobums, and 1 TotsBots, a couple pail liners, 2 Thirsties covers (I also have 25ish fitteds that a friend made me and a bunch of Green Mountain prefolds on my list to order soon).
GN clothing like sleepers and gowns, socks, onesies
My Brest Friend pillow
Hangers
Storage baskets
Picture frames and a light that looks like a gnome for the nursery
We've also received a bunch of stuff as gifts/hand me downs:
Baby books
Infant car seat
Diaper bag
Quilt
Bouncer
Portable swing
Sophie the Giraffe teether
A couple Tommee Tippee bottles
We're cancelling one of my showers and I figured I'd just go ahead and get stuff that I like/that's a good deal so we don't have to scramble to order a lot later.
Six years of infertility and loss, four IUIs, one IVF and one very awesome little boy born via med-free birth 10.24.13.
This is baby number 2 but our first girl so I don't need a lot of big stuff just clothes and bedding and what not. So far I have gotten just a few outfits and some NB cloth diapers. I'm trying to resist buying clothes since I know my friends and family will be buying us some, but little girl clothes are too cute to resist lol.

::lurker coming out of hiding....... I started CD with DS at 5 months. DH wasn't nuts about it at first but now he won't even allow a displosable on DS, that's how must we love our CD. So we will be using CD from birth with this one. I agree that some of the cheaper brands are just as good, I love my kawaii diapers. I as love my swaddlebee simplex one size. I would advice not to buy too many of one brand until you know what fits your baby best.
I have bought most of my newborn CD, kawaii pure n naturals and prefolds/covers, and plan to buy the rest once we know the sex of the baby.
I have also bought a few other small items I know I will need, new nipples for the bottles since they were on sale and I ordered the second camera for our monitor.
Just clothes so far. Since that is all I'm letting myself get, I already have too much. I plan to order my furniture during a 4th of a July sale. It makes me so nervous to make such a big commitment but I'm worried about delivery timeframes. My sister is talking about putting a deposit down on a shower location. Another big commitment. Ahh! I'll wait until after the shower on most other things.
Franco Paul born 6/4/15 at 39 weeks. Mila Francesca born 10/19/13 at 37 weeks. Both born via C-Section after 6 years of fertility treatments, disappointments and losses. Love them!!
This is our second and the only thing I've bought so far is a big girl bed for DD1. Now that I know we're having a girl, I really need to go through our stuff and start making a list of what we need.

I'm 17 weeks and this is our second so we don't really need a lot. We did buy a crib because it was 200 off!!! Also bought the dresser because it was on sale too! We really don't need anything else unless baby is a girl then clothes will need to be bought.
Hi, I'm 18 weeks and having a boy. I've bought some nursery items in the pattern I liked: the diaper stacker, lamp, blanket ( got this instead of a quilt because I didn't use it last time), wall decor, sheet set, and mobile. Also a few books and a set of bibs. My ultrasound is on July 2 so I'm not opening anything yet and keeping the receipts just in case..... , we found out with the Verifi test at 13 weeks and it's supposed to be 99.1 % accurate.
I bought custom made crib bedding and that's it. Trying to wait til after the shower to buy the rest. Oh and some maternity clothes for me since none of my bottoms fit anymore.
Re: What have you bought so far?

I haven't bought a dang thing.

Make a pregnancy ticker
Since this is our second, I've been buying the few things I'll need slowly.
If you want to buy things, look for good sales. I would shy away from buying a lot of clothes. You're going to get a lot of clothes at your shower.

Keep in mind I have 2 young boys, so I don't really NEED to buy anything.
I haven't purchased anything but two pairs of maternity bottoms -- capris and pants.
I got blasted with tons of clothes from a friend who has two young girls. I also have all the gear we need with the exception of the car seat.
We'll likely pick that up sometime after we move. I don't want to have to pack any more stuff than absolutely necessary.
