Question for you all with toddlers! When they transition to a toddler bed what do you put on it? We didn't buy a bedding set so we don't have a quilt for Chloe or anything. Do they make bedding sets for a crib mattress/toddler bed with a top sheet and fitted sheet and quilt or should I buy a crib quilt?
Right now I'm crocheting blankets for Chloe for her birthday but I don't know if they will be warm enough because its a HUGE difference between a NC winter and an England winter and we are heading over there right before it peaks cold.
Likely when we get on the plane it'll be mid 50s in NC then moving into low 40s in England.

Proud Mama to cleft cutie
No way! Unless we live in military housing. We couldn't afford that. We're in a brand new extra well insulated house in NC so we keep the heat at 72-74 in the winter. Over there if we were paying for it it would cost an arm and a leg! It'll be set at least 5 degrees cooler.
Hoping we get into decent military housing (no serious mold issues)! But no matter where you go it seems the AC/heating in housing will break at least once a year and you will freeze/sweat to death before maintenance gets there. Everyone's always breaks at the same time.
Oh I love LL Bean fleece blankets. I should buy some of those!
Depends on your LO. Everyone is different. Theres still some LOs on my other BMB (Dec2010) who are still in cribs. I know most said they did the switch once their LOs were climbing out lol.
I was going to wait til DS1 was climbing out to but decided to give it a try and see what would happen. We just switched to normal double bed (on a boxspring, no frame, guard rails on both sides) around 18 months. There were no issues whatsoever. It helped to switch at that point for us since DS2 was coming 2 months later.
