DH is ok with me trying cd occasionally, but concerned about washing...

.... How do I get him really on board, he's abit of a germaphobe?

 I told him this morning that I wanted to get a couple to try and he asked about washing.  As far as I understand they go in your washing machine in hot water with extra rinse.  He didn't think it was sanitary to have poop in washing machine. (Though I'm not sure how he thinks I clean DS clothes that get pooped on, tho I normally rinse in sink first and use our stain stick on it, DS is 3.5 mo EBF)

advice, how do I clean? What can I tell him to put mind at ease? DS only poops once every 1-3 days, so not sure this will even be much of a concern for my occasional use.

oh, and do I need special laundry soap? I use babygancics on all of our clothes

    The "poop is gross in my washing machine" excuse is SO WEIRD to me. First of all, you're going to get poop on you and your baby's stuff...it just happens. And second, your washing machine is WASHING the poop and draining it all on its own, it's really not a big deal. 

    Wash-dump diaper pail laundry into your machine. Rinse, no detergent. Hot wash with detergent. Rinse. Rinse. We use tide original powder.

    Also, show your husband the cost savings. This always seems to work when the H isn't 100% on board yet.

    I agree with this. My nephew has always been in sposies, and he was forever pooping up the back and my sister was always washing clothes with poop on them!

    My wash routine is: cool or warm short wash, hot wash with detergent, extra rinse. I use Tiny Bubbles as a detergent, I've never used Babyganics.

    This. Washing machines clean. That's their job. If they didn't clean none of your clothes would ever get clean either. What does he think happens to the skid marks on his underwear?
